"Who were you talking to on the phone?" Oliver asked closing the door behind him
"Oliver you scared me" I said turning around
"Sorry I didn't mean too" He said
"What are you doing up?" I asked
"I heard you leave the room I'm a light sleeper" He said
"I'm sorry I woke you" I said
"So who were you talking to?" He asked
"Just a friend" I said I looked at the time and it read 4:45 am
"I guess we'll be missing morning classes" He said
"It's the first day back to a new semester I can't afford to miss my classes" I said
"Classes start at 8 you think you can make it?" He asked
"Yes I can" I said
"I wouldn't be able to do it i need at least 6 hours of sleep" He said
"I use to do it all of last year" I said
"I think I should go home" He said
"No it's fine you can stay" I said
"Are you sure?" He asked I nodded and he walked back inside I stood outside for a couple more minutes before going back inside Oliver was laying on his side looking at his phone
"Are you okay?" I asked he turned over to me
"Yeah I'm okay" He said
"You should try and get some sleep" I said
"I will" He said
"I'm going to shower to get ready and go on a coffee run" I said he nodded and turned on his side again
"I drink a straight black coffee" He said
"Duly noted" I said
I went towards the closet and grabbed my towel and the clothes I needed and walked into the bathroom I turned on the water and waited for it to get hot I took of my clothes and stepped into the shower
After I washed my hair and washed my body I stepped out the shower and dried my body and put on my clothes and walked out of the bathroom quietly trying not to wake up Oliver and Lillian I grabbed my phone and walked out of the dorm room I walked passed the gates and down the street past the dinner that wasn't open yet I walked to the coffee shop that was just opening
"Good Morning Jean" Ms. Lancaster said
"Morning Ms. Lancaster" I said
"Do you want the usual?" She asked
"Um for Lillian yeah but I think I'm going to try something new" I said
"I'll give you a minute" She said
"I'll have a large Chai Latte and a large black coffee plus Lillian's coffee to go please" I said she nodded and I smiled at her
"Your total is $15.65" She said I handed her my card she handed my my card back and my orders I walked back to my dorm room and put their coffees on the table I quietly drank my coffee and got my computer i spent the next two hours on the internet searching affordable apartment and jobs in my field I saw they needed a new art teacher at an elementary school and I applied
"You got me coffee" Lillian said looking at me
"Yeah from that coffee place you like" I said
"Thank god they make the greatest coffee on the earth" She said
"You are the biggest exaggerator ever" I said
"I'm still your best friend" She said
"I guess you are right" I said
"What did you get this time?" She asked
"A Chai Latte" I said I handed my cup to her and she took a sip
"This is really good" She said
"I know" I said she handed my my cup back and I turned my computer off
Oliver sat up and looked up confused
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Yeah I just didn't know where I was for a second" He said
"You're at the dorms and Jean brought you coffee" Lillian said He got up and grabbed his coffee
"How is it still warm?" He asked
"The coffee shop where we get our coffee has these insulation cups that are reusable we have a whole bunch underneath that box" I said pointing to the box on the floor
"Why do you keep them in a box?" He asked
"We don't have the space" I said
"We would have the space if we had an apartment" Lillian said
"Don't start that again" I said looking at her
"FIne I won't" She said
"What time is it?" Oliver asked
"6:50 am" I said looking over at him Lillian walked to the bathroom and Oliver looked over at me
"I should go to my apartment and shower" He said
"Will you make it to your classes?" I asked
"Probably not" He said
"What classes are you taking?" I asked
"Psychology 4, english lit 4, and creative writing, Advance Calc" He said
"Cool I guess I'll see you in creative writing if you go" I said he walked up to me and pulled me into a hug
"You can always come to me if you have a problem or if you need a friend" He said I smiled and hugged him back
"Thank you for everything" I said he kissed my forehead and left
