I helped Oliver set up the pull out couch while Lillian set up the movie projector and the food

"You guys have a movie projector?" Oliver asked

"Yeah my grandparents gave it to me when I moved" I said

"That's cool" He said I nodded and we finished fixing up the bed

"The bathroom is over there" I said pointing to the door next to the closet

"How'd you get a bathroom in here?" He asked

"This whole line of dorms have a bathroom" Lillian said

"I wish I had a bathroom when I was living at the dorms" He said

"You don't live at the dorms anymore?" I asked

"No I moved out my second year" He said

"I hope to move out soon" Lillian said looking at me I rolled my eyes

"Are you graduating early?" He asked

"No I still have another year" Lillian said

"I'm graduating early" I said

"So am I" He said we smiled at each other Lillian and I got our food and I hooked up the movie and we all settled in to watch the movie I looked over at Lillian and she passed me a burger and I handed her the box of chicken nuggets

"These are the best nuggets ever" She said

"You say that all the time" I said laughing

"Well I'm never wrong" she said and Oliver laughed

"I guess not" I said half way through the movie Lillian fell asleep and it was just Oliver and I watching the movie

"I can leave if you want me to" Oliver said turning to face me

"No you can stay" I said

"Do you want me to stay?" He asked

"Well I don't want you to leave" I said looking at him in the background you could hear Claire and John arguing

"What other movie do you have?" He asked

"I have a lot" I said passing him my phone he looked through my movies before picking The Whole 9 Yards

"This is a good movie" I said

"Yeah it is" He said

"Have you seen the second part?" I asked

"Yeah I saw it" He said I smiled and hooked up my phone again

"I'll probably fall asleep during this movie" I said he laughed

"Me too" He said I got up and got the food that Lillian left and put it into the mini fridge

"You guys have a mini fridge?" He asked

"Yeah it was a gift from my grandparents" I said he nodded and I went back to bed

"I wish I had grandparents who gave me things" He said

"I'm very grateful for my grandparents and what they've done" I said he smiled we continued to watch the movie

"My grandparents died when I was little" He said

"I'm sorry for your loss" I said

"I never really met them but they were still my grandparents" He said

"My parents died when I was little" I said

"What do you mean I heard Lillian ask you if your parents were coming to graduation and you said yes?" He asked

"No one knows my parents are dead" I said

"Why haven't you told anyone?" He asked

"No one needs to know my personal business" I said

"I'm glad you told me" He said

"I'm glad I told you" I said

"When I was little my mom use to tell me that people left this earth because they were too good" He said

"Great words to live by" I said he laughed and for a second hearing him laugh made me the happiest person in the world

"I'm glad you understand them I spent 7 years trying to understand what those words meant" He said

"I wish someone would have told me something like that maybe I wouldn't have done the things I've done" I said

"Death changes people Jean and sometimes thing happen for a reason" He said

"It's ironic" He said

"What is?" I asked

"Us your parents are gone yet people think they are still here and my parents want nothing to do with me" He said

"What happened with your parents?" I asked

"They didn't like my life choices and they don't talk to me anymore" He said

"One day your parents will realize how important you are to them and they will come looking for you" I said

"I hope so but I will never be like my parents when I have kids I will treat them better than my parents treated me" He said

"You'd be a great dad one day" I said

"You'd be a great mom too" He said closing his eyes

"Good night Oliver" I said

"Good night Jean" He said I grabbed my phone and turned off the projector I got up from the bed and called Sean

"Hey J what do you need?" He asked

"Ember is coming to town in a couple weeks and I was just wondering if you wanted to see her" I said

"I told you when I first found out about her I didn't want to be in her life I'm not good for her" He said

"Sean she is your child" I said

"She's more yours than she is mine" He said

"She asks about you sometimes" I said

"I'll send you more money next week" He said I sighed

"I'm sorry for wanting my daughter to be a part of your life" I said

"I'm sorry for not loving her the way you love her" He said I hung up and a tear slid down my face
