Chapter 13

"I dare you toooo take Autumn somewhereeee privateeee and do 'it'." Two-Bit slurred, putting emphasis on 'it'. My eyes widened and I felt my cheeks heat up. Pony's face was bright red.

"C'mon two that's a little-" pony started.

"NUP! It's a darrreeee." Two-Bit slurred.

"Two-Bit they're 14. Give him a different dare." Sodapop ordered him. Two rolled his eyes.

"F-fineeee. Pony I dare you to have a beeerrrrrr." Two-Bit said, handing him one. Pony drank some of it, then made a face. I laughed.

"Autumn. Truth or dare?" Pony asked. I smirked.

"Dare." I said.

"I dare you to have the rest of this." He gestured to his half drunk beer. I took it and drank it. An hour later, Two-Bit, Dally, and Steve were completely wasted. Dally was a dangerous drunk, two-bit was a goofy drunk, and Steve was a rude drunk. Soda drove, and I sat in the front seat on Pony's lap. The other three were in back. We pulled up to our house and got out. Two-Bit and Steve laid down immediately and passed out.

"Here dally you can lay here." I told him, gesturing to the couch. He shook his head.

"No." He refused.

"Dal you're drunk! You need to lay down!" I exclaimed.

"I don't need to do anything. I'm fine!" He yelled, slurring his words and taking a sip of his tenth beer.

"Dallas stop! Stop drinking its dangerous!" I shouted. He lowered his bottle and stared at me. His eyes were blazing. He stepped towards me. He looked like he wanted to kill me. I backed up into the wall. He's teased me about this billions of times, but he's more than a foot taller than me. He extended his hand and slapped me across the face, hard. My jaw dropped and my eyes teared as my hand flew to my stinging cheek. His eyes widened and he looked at his hand, then to me.

"How could you?" I exclaimed, tears falling down my cheeks. He looked angrier. He came towards me and pushed me against the wall, hard. I hit my head on the wall. I started getting dizzy. I heard faint yells and voices. My legs gave out and I collapsed to the ground. I felt someone pick me up and carry me upstairs. They laid me on the bed. I heard more faint voices and footsteps. Something cold was placed on my forehead. That's all i felt, then I blacked out.

I sat up, but immediately fell back down. My head killed. All of a sudden, it all came back to me. The lake, dally hitting me. I reached up to my forehead and felt a cold rag. I removed it and sat up slowly. It hurt a little, but I didn't stop. I walked down the stairs. Everyone was in the living room. Ponyboy rushed over to me and hugged me.

"Oh Autumn you're okay!" Pony exclaimed. I hugged him back. We separated and I saw Dallas. He was looking at me with a scared, guilty expression full of regret. He stood up and slowly came over to me. I backed up into Ponyboy. He grabbed my hand, letting me know he was there. I was extremely frightened. Dallys eyes teared up.

"Oh my god what've i done?You're terrified of me!" He exclaimed, the tears falling. I ran to him and wrapped my arms around his waist tightly. He was taken aback at first, but then he wrapped his arms around me. I sobbed into his chest.

"Autumn I'm so so sorry!" He exclaimed, crying. He didn't even care about the fact that the gang was right there. I just hugged him tighter. We finally pulled away. He grabbed my hand and led me onto the porch.

"Autumn I was extremely drunk. I didn't even know what happened. But the gang told me. They told me that you were trying to get me to lay down and I slapped you. Then i pushed you against the wall. They said that you were drifting in and out of consciousness. Ponyboy carried you up to your room and soda went too. Steve and two-bit were yelling at me, then I passed out. I'm so sorry kid. Please forgive me." He cried. I nodded.

"Of course I forgive you dal. You were drunk, you couldn't control it." I told him. He smiled and hugged me again.

"I love you shortie." He said. I laughed.

"I love you too dally." I replied, smiling. We walked back inside. I went over to pony and sat on his lap. He kissed my cheek and wrapped his arms around me. The doorbell rang and soda got up to get it.

"Oh, Tim. Hi?" Soda said, surprised. He let him in.

"Hey y'all. The Socs wanna rumble. Tonight in the lot. No weapons. All fair." Tim explained. He paused.

"She gonna fight?" He asked, nodding towards me.

"No." Pony stated, before I could say yes.

"What? Why?" I whined.

"Because you are my world and I would hate myself if I let you fight and you got hurt." Pony explained, resting his hand on my thigh.

"Fine." I pouted. He frowned.

"C'mon angel, I just love you too much to let you fight. And the Socs will gang up on you since you're a girl, and since you're smaller." He told me. I smiled.

"I love you too." I replied. He kissed my cheek and I leaned back and rested my head in the crook of his neck.

"You two are the cutest." Soda commented. I giggled, blushing. We talked for a couple hours and watched tv, then I went to bed. I couldn't sleep. I didn't know why, but I just couldn't.

"Hey angel." Pony said, laying next to me. I smiled. He called me Angel because 'I remind him of all the good in the world'. The rest of the gang has pretty much caught on, so that's kinda my nickname.

"Hey." I replied.

"Why are you still up? It's 1 am." He asked me. A single tear rolled down my cheek.

"Autumn what's wrong?" Pony asked, concerned. He wiped my tear with his thumb.

"I dunno. I just..I love you so so much, and I never wanna lose you. I always thought that I was ugly, and that no guy would ever like me. But you made me feel beautiful. You made me feel like I was the only girl in the world. You're special. Most guys like cars and chicks and all that tough stuff. But you're into sunsets, and movies and books. And I think that's amazing. I love you pony. I need you. I'm just scared I'm gonna lose you." I told him, more tears falling. He sat up and pulled me into a hug. I cried into his chest.

"Autumn I will never ever leave you. I promise. I know for a fact that you're the one. You're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. You are beautiful Autumn. You're the most beautiful girl I've ever met. And to add to that, you're smart, funny, pretty, kind, thoughtful, tough, loving, caring, fun, playful. Man, this list could go on forever. I love you Autumn. And I will never leave you." He said. I smiled and kissed him.

"Thank you. So much." I said. He smiled and nodded. We laid down and I laid my head on his chest. He stroked my hair and we stayed up, talking for a couple hours.
