A Battle Before The Real Battle

(Y/N)'s POV

We've just arrived back at the manor and sadly Prince Soma and Agni have left."I'm going to miss their food" I say pouting "Young master, Lady (Y/N)! You've received another letter from Alois Trancy" Mey-rin announced, worried on our behalf. This time, I'm the one to grab the letter. "To Ciel Phantomhive and (Y/N) (L/N)" I begin to read

" I am quite impressed with the two of you. Before involving our "special" butlers, I'd like to see how you really stand against me. I propose a challenge of the wits. In this challenge, we will be testing the knowledge of only one of your brains, to make it fair for me. Whom ever you choose will go against me in a game of their choosing and they will come alone. Back down if you wish, but that is only proving that I am superior".

I finish reading and take a breath. "That narcissistic bastard!" Ciel screams, clearly furious. "Ciel, I don't think we should participate in his childish games" I imply, hoping to convince him, but as I feared... "A man never backs down to a challenge, especially one that can be won with ease!" He says proving my next point, that he's just as childish and prideful. "If you insist Ciel, then I'll go" he turns to me in shock "There's no need for you to go, I'll do i-" before he can continue you, I state once more " I'll go" I follow by saying " Ciel, we work as a team, it's a revenge plan for BOTH of us, have some faith in me". He looks a little disappointed in himself. "Very well, I trust you, Sebastian! Fetch a carriage for (Y/N) at once!" I smile and pull him into a hug "Don't worry Ciel, I'll be back tomorrow, I promise" I pull back and gather some clothes from my room then I go towards the carriage without looking back as well as not saying goodbye because 'It's not goodbye'

(Time Skip to Trancy Manor)

"So he chose the girl didn't he, no matter, I'll have just as much fun with you" says Alois, licking his lips and making my shiver as he has done before. "Now, before we start, shall we have dinner?" He smiles. "No thanks I want to get home as soon as po-" "IT'S NOT A CHOICE, WHAT DOES HE HAVE THAT I DON'T" Alois screams almost shocking me to death "Now to the dinner table, shall we?" He takes me by the hands and begin to dance with me, he leans into my ear, "I loved watching you dance that day, you are quite beautiful" He spins me around a couple times and then puts me on a chair. "OLAY" He says, clapping his hands, "Claude! Bring us something to eat!" He smiles at me and says "Now, (Y/N), it's getting late today, how about we play are little game tommorw? If you wanted a game tonight I'd be more than happy to obliged" He says licking his lips "T-tommorw is fine" I say barely able to squeak out those words "Oh well such a shame" He frowns a little, but his smile returns when Claude arrives with food. "Okay now dig in!". I show hesitates in eating, "I said, DIG. IN." Thinking fast I pick up the whole plate and sacrifice my shirt by putting food down it, luckily it was sushi. "Wow! You finished quick! It must've been good, hehe, I'll ask Claude to make you some more" In a panic I exclaim "NO! N-no it's quite alright, I'm stuffed, thank you for your courtesy, I'm feeling quite tired now, may please have some show me to the guest room please?". It looks like I fooled him because he calls over his maid Hannah to show me to the guest room. Carefully standing up, I tuck in my shirt, put my arms over my stomach and walk towards the room. I glance at Hannah, she looks abused. She has a bandage wrapped over her eye and some of her fingernails have been peeled off, I shiver.

When she leaves, I quickly get rid of my shirt along with the evidence and change, too afraid to shower. I'm unable to sleep, so I sit up the whole night, thinking.

(Next morning at Trancy Manor)

I see the sun so I change into regular clothes. I look into the mirror and notice bags under my eyes. Luckily the gold on the necklace Ciel gave me is cold, so I use it to calm my eyes down 'you don't even have to be here to help me huh?' I comb through my hair and go through the same path I used to get to this room to get out of it.
Alois is already waiting downstairs. "Have you chosen a game (Y/N)?" He smiles and blankly I state, "I'd like to play chess" he frowns at my blankness. "Very well, so be it. CLAUDE, A CHESS BOARD" Claude comes in with a chess board, "Now shall we begin?"

(10 minute time skip)

This game isn't as hard as I thought it was going be moving my final piece, that piece being the queen, I put Trancy in checkmate. "IMPOSSIBLE" He looks about ready to slap me but his hand is blocked by Claude "R-right, my apologies, you may go home now, but let me tell you this, you may have bested me, but Phantomhive never will!" And with that I finally get to leave that disgusting place. The carriage is back to pick me up. I open the carriage door only to have Ciel pounce on me, I hug him a whisper in his ear "I won" and he whispers back "You didn't have to tell me, I already knew". I giggle and place my head on his chest "Thank you for having faith in me, I told you I could do it!" I smile in his chest and I can feel him do the same, I don't even have to look, I just know...
