Tadaaaaa! :P
CHAPTER TWELVE
*SKY'S POV*
"What the hell are you doing?" I said, pretending not to be affected by her hug. Trying to sound as aloof as I can.
I valiantly writhed to break free from her arms, but he held her hands together to lock me in. Tightly imprisoning me on hers.
"Could you stay still please? You're making it hard for me, Rob's looking."
Ding! Her statement echoed through the corner of my ear. That's right we're pretending, how could I forget that? Silly me, over thinking things.
I relaxed myself, and she loosen her grip on me until her arms slid down, releasing me completely. I faced her, quickly drew her to me and hugged her again. I gave my best to make this look like a real date. And make my gestures less cynical to Rob's eyes.
"I hate you." I murmured, barely moving my lips. My eyes pinned on Rob inside the diner who was obviously checking up on us on a clear window.
Now I think Miranda sent him on purpose to spy on us, I have a strong feeling about it. I mean, Rob went this far from the party just to eat burgers? It takes twenty or more minutes to get to Summerlin's Bachi Burger from the Palace. He could've hung out somewhere near Caesar's. Right?
"Not as much as I hate you." She snorted, hugging me on a wrathful manner that she almost choked me to death.
She tucked her hair and moved her head up by my ear. Positioning herself like wanting to whisper something. It's not that bad, her hug's kind of comforting, it's so cozy and warm like a fluffy blanket on a rainy day.
What? Did I just say 'a fluffy blanket on a rainy day'? Shoot me.
"So I think this is our first fake lover's fight." She whispered. Her breath tickles.
"Does that mean you're my pretend girlfriend now?" I asked.
A long pause sliced between us, but we never released each other and only stayed still. I waited for her response, but immediately threw the hope of getting any. She always leaves me hanging, so better not expect.
"I guess I am. Pretend Boyfriend."
And there goes the cue to start the pretention, I don't know how long we'll keep this act up but I want to cut it off as soon as possible. As Brad said, don't fall on your own trap.
Love. The greatest consequence we'll ever face. And hate seconded.
Yes I know I sounded so weak and vulnerable, but the risks with these kinds of things were high. Too high that it could drown one of us to our own emotions and we can never get back up to reality.
I didn't pay attention to love though, hate still reigns inside I and Cass' system, which I'm certain of. Love and hate relationship doesn't apply to persons like us. I'm just concerned when this hatred reached its peak; it could ruin us in and out, even the people around us.
"You didn't even let me woo you. And now you're my girlfriend? Well, that's easy." I released her and hung an arm on her shoulder. Looking down on her as she looked up to me.
"I want this over and done quick." She wrapped her arm on my waist. "Looks like Rob doesn't give up that easily and we'll have to spend each other's night together." She sighed.
We cannot leave Brad and Kendra behind who were unfortunately stuck somewhere inside the diner. So I guess she's right, we'll be dating until the coast is clear. That's the agreement.
