CHAPTER NINE

*CASS' POV*

I woke up with Kendra beside me who's snoring low. I'm disgusted with her smell, the alcohol's scent still lingers. I bet when she wakes up she'll be hitting her head against the wall and will crave for coffee or freezing water down her throat. After all those booze, she'll only be sober two days from now and I'll bet my life for it.

I pulled myself up and got out the room wearing a loose shirt and only my panties on, I'm sweating so bad last night when I fell asleep with the swimming thoughts in my head as I turned and twisted on bed. Completely forgetting to turn on the air conditioner, waking me up in the middle of my crazy dream.

My dream was the most surprising thing on earth!

I and Sky was just sitting by the bed and looking at each other after we got home from Lorenzi. Just talking through our eyes, Sky dragged me out and everything turned dark. Next thing I knew I heard the bottle and cups falling from the living room, clinking on the floor like someone was sweeping them off. Actually we're really sweeping them off.

I can feel his lips touch mine, Sky with no shirt on and touching my body. Damn, it looked so real. Honestly it felt so real.

That's when I fell on the floor from the bed and woke up feeling agitated. I immediately dismissed the thought that it was all true after seeing Kendra who's still beside me with ajar mouth and sleeping soundly. I felt my body dripping in sweat and I dug in my closet for something to change to then sleep again.

It was one hell of a dream! That's what I'm still thinking first thing this morning! Who wouldn't, right?

I opened the fridge and grabbed a carton of milk, walking to the table with a box of cereal I plucked from the hanging cabinet, pressed between my body and arms, with a glass on the other hand.

I heard a door creaked open. "Good morning." I said without looking at Kendra who just walked out the room. I'm busy pouring milk all over my food and ate a spoonful after.

"Good morning."

I quickly cocked my head up to the direction of the voice, and found Sky closing the door from my mom's room. Ruffling his hair and yawning.

"Stay right there!" I warned while covering my legs with the cereal box and the milk carton, chewing the first scoop in my mouth.

He stopped on the middle of his yawn. "What?" He asked with his hands open, palm facing upwards and his expressions muddled.

I walked backwards slowly to hide my butt, my arms stretched out reaching for a blanket on the sofa but my head still facing him, my eyes guarding his. I can see him biting his lips from a wide smile as I revealed my under from the table blocking me.

He diverted his eyes up the ceiling as he turned his back slowly from me and faced the door again.

"Tell me when you're done." He said while chuckling.

"Shut up." I murmured.

I wrapped the blanket on my waist and secured its ends, then returned seated on the dining table acting like nothing happened.

"Done." I simply said, scooping another spoonful of cereal from my bowl.

He smirked and directly headed for the fridge without any permission from me, like this is his house. I watched him bend over to the cold storage down and up, up and down from the corner of my eye.
