WHY MEEEE????

Twenty-eight.

Third person.

After a day of Maryam being in the hospital, she finally got discharged. During her 24 hours in the hospital, not for once did Ibrahim left her side unless he had to go to the masjid.

Farhaan who came to visit Maryam was shocked at how Ibrahim changed within a night. Although he is happy for his best friend, they're is still a part of him that doesn't want to accept the fact. And for that, he feels guilty.

He is trying to endure the pain, but it's impossible. Seeing the person you love with you best friend is something no one could endure. Not when she clearly doesn't love you. And even for the fact that Ibrahim keeps denying his love for Maryam, he for sure knows that the guy loves her. He just needs time to figure it out.

Maryam couldn't just understand Ibrahim's behavior. She has never seen the side of him before. It's like she discovered something new and aspiring about him. He changed completely and she's afraid because she's falling hard every single day. What she's trying to get is why he's being nice to her all of a sudden. It's not that she doesn't like it, but its scares the shit out if her.

And so, she decided to ask him.
He is sitting beside her on the couch with his phone. "Ibrahim" she called.

He moved his eyes from the phone and looked at her. "Yeah" he answered.

Her heart began to beat. She didn't want to say something stupid or what will annoy him. She just didn't want to spoil the moment. "I...uhm...nothing." She stammered.

He smiled and went closer to her. "Dora, don't be afraid to ask me anything." He said.

Maryam took a deep breath. "I.. I just don't understand what's going on." She spoke.

Ibrahim furrowed his eyebrow trying to understand what she said. "What are you talking about?!" He questioned

"You being like this  is so confusing. I can't take it anymore!!" She almost yelled.

He looked puzzled as he studied her face. "I...well...." He sank deeper on the sofa and scratched his head. "Dora I want to change." He spoke. "I want to change. I want to make this marriage work out. I want to be the husband you dreamt to have. I want to bring a smile on your fac e and every other person that's important to me. I want to amend my mistakes Dora....... I want to learn how to love you....." He finished. By then, Maryam became numb cause he took her off guard. She never expected him to speak out like that.

She always dreamt of a day like this but she never though that it will cocome this soon. "And I want you to teach me...." He concluded interrupting her from her thoughts.

OK. Let's just say she's dreaming or hallucinating, or maybe one of her day dreaming. But this is too good to be true. It's too damn good to be true.

Ibrahim moved closer to her and put her hand in his. He may not be the romantic type, but right now he wants to do the right thing for the first time in his life.

He held her hands tightly and moved closer to her ear. "I want to fill in the empty space in your life..." He whispered into her ear. He didn't know how he sounded so cheesy, but at that time he didn't care. He wants to explore every single stage of a relationship. And so, without releasing her hands he stood up and went on his knees..............

"I want us to explore every stage of a relationship Dora. I want a new beginning with you." He said.

"Be my girlfriends Dora........"
