Chapter 3 - A man with no friends doesn't have to worry that they'll turn enemy in the end.

Gerard didn't need friends. That's what he always told himself. Friends were people that let close enough to hurt you and hope they don't. That's all friends ever were to him.
Mikey was the complete opposite of his brother, popular and funny with all the friends he could ever want or need. However he rarely had enough time for his brother.
Their brotherly bond had started deteriorating when Gee was thirteen and Mikey was eleven. Mikey just stopped wanting to be around his older brother, constantly shunning him off to go hang out with his friends, not giving his brother the time of day. Gerard hated that that was the closest he'd ever been to someone and they could just do that to him as though he was unwanted like gum on the bottom of someone's shoes.
To be honest, Gerard did care that his brother had a boyfriend. He cared immensely. He cared so much that if anything ever happened to Mikey he wouldn't know what to do with himself. Mikey may fourteen but, in Gerard's eyes, he would always be the comedic eight year old who would hang upside down from the monkey bars at the park until his face was red and he almost passed out and laugh about it, the innocent nine year old who thought that a lesbian was a female astronaut or the bubbly ten year old who had no better way to send his time than laughing about comic books with his older brother. And most importantly, in Gerard's eyes, Mikey was too young to have a boyfriend. Especially one that was sixteen and one of the fittest people in Gerard's gym class.
Gerard had no idea where he was going to go once he had stormed out of the woods and just ended up just walking around the town centre, occasionally knocking things off the shelves in shops and laughing as the employees tried to work out what had made the objects fall. It was a rather childish thing to do, but sometimes you can cancel be surprised how the most childish things are also some of the most entertaining.
"Fancy seeing you here, I thought you'd be somewhere more interesting since you ditched," a certain someone, more specifically Frank Iero, called out from behind Gerard. He was shocked and slightly scared, the pillow he was moving fell from his attention and hit a poor half-asleep worker who had obviously just arrived from school on the head. Gerard looked back at the pillow and his eyes wide with shock, that was slightly obvious. The falling pillow had also managed to catch Frank's attention. Frank reached forwards and grabbed Gerard by the back of his shirt, dragging him towards the public bathrooms.
