"London! Are you okay?!" The frantic voice belonged to Derick. For what felt like the thousandth time today, not that I was complaining, he placed his hand on my back and rubbed.
I inhaled deeply and then exhaled, trying to balance my breathing. Clearing my throat, I said, "I'm fine, I'm fine." I assured him, finally able to stand up.
"What happened? Was it the pizza? Do I need to go and talk to those people?" His voice had gotten hard and he suddenly looked upset.
"No! No!" I said a little too quickly. Shaking my head, I continued on as normally as I could, "You don't have to do that. I'm feeling fine now."
He didn't look convinced. "Are you sure? Because I really can go and ask them what the fuck is going on."
"Yeah, maybe they're selling old pizzas." Jacob interjected and I wanted to throttle him. I understood their concern, but I couldn't exactly just come out and tell them that I was certain it wasn't that their pizza was old, but instead, that the baby, whom seemed very opinionated, inside of me just didn't want pizza. It could also be the fact that I was just being thrown around by the Kamikaze as well.
"Maybe it's just the fact that I just came off of that ride and my stomach didn't settle too well. I promise, I'm okay." I looked Derick in the eyes, touching his arm. Besides, I wasn't lying. After emptying my guts, I did feel better almost immediately.
When I looked around at all of my friends, I could see the knowing in their expressions. They knew why I had just brought my food back up. That didn't stop them from looking concerned though, especially Melanie.
"I just wanna go to the bathroom to freshen up, because that was all too embarrassing." I announced.
"I'm coming with you. The grease on my finger is starting to annoy me." Lydia said, rubbing her fingers against one another to make her point more distinct. Then suddenly, all of my friends were saying they were coming to the bathroom with me. I didn't fight against them for it. They probably wouldn't budge until they knew for sure that I was okay. Plus, they didn't have a chance to probe about Derick and I having sex again.
I was right. The second we got in the bathroom, they started bombarding me with questions.
"Are you okay?" Lydia's eyes held concern.
"How are you? How's the baby? Nothing feels out of place, right?" Shai touched my stomach for a split second, that being the first time anyone but myself touched it after finding out I was pregnant.
"Your first pregnancy vomit!" Lila squealed. We all looked at her. She rolled her eyes. "You guys can kiss my ass. I mean, I know vomiting sucks. But knowing why you vomited makes it slightly exciting."
"She's got a point." Melanie agreed with a smile.
"I'm fine, guys. I promise. I guess the baby just wasn't feeling pizza." I shrugged.
"But, did you see how Derick was ready to tear off the pizza people's heads?" Lydia asked, looking at me.
"Nobody messes with his London!" Shai snapped his fingers in the Z formation. "Plus, you two did the deed again that created little baby Shai in the first place! Don't think we forgot." He smirked. I chose to ignore his last statement, although I knew it was coming.
"Oh yeah, you dirty vixen, you!" Lila smirked at me. "And it was cute how protective he got of you. Jesus, and he doesn't even know you're pregnant yet. So imagine."
