18 Lepus of the year 12984(218 Years since Korbin's Birth)
Elysia's Pov
"Are you excited?"
"Yes. Father said I'd be nervous but I'm not," Brielle says glancing around the room. I smile and lead her over to the dresser. She plops down on a stool and shakes her blonde curls. Her purple dressing gown slides down her shoulder as she does. I slip it back up and begin my work.
Hair. Lots of hair. I grab a brush and begin detangling the mass of curls Brielle calls hair. It's coarse and thick. Not to mention heavy. I don't know how she manages to keep it nice. I could never.
Aveyard has long curly hair. Most of the time he ties it back or braids it. He's the only one with curls. Our other brothers have moderately straight hair.
I look at Brielle through the mirror. "Do you want children?"
"Of course," Brielle perks up. "I decided when I met young Lord Thean. He's so cute,"
She pauses and her face goes ghost white. Oh no.
"But what if I can't have children?" Brielle asks turning around. The hairpin in my hand slips from my grasp. I can't help but sigh. Using a circle I pick up the pin.
"Brie, you will be fine. Even if you can't have children Avalon will love you no matter what. That's the kind of male he is."
"I know, but—"
"No more buts out of you," I exclaim pushing her head to look at the mirror. Brielle sighs and allows me to continue my work. "As I said, there's no reason to worry. Avalon will love you no matter what happens, children or not."
"I know, but—"
"Brielle!"
"Alright..."
"I have a better question for you," I say. "Have you talked about where you will live?"
I watch Brielle smile wide through the mirror. Like she's reliving a memory. "Avalon and I talked about it for a bit but we want to live here for a few years before we take on responsibility in Vespera,"
"A good plan," Mother says. Brielle and I swing our heads to the door. With her head sticking in my room Mother smiles. "You two make the perfect sisters,"
I can't help but smile. I've never had a sister. The closest I can get is when my brothers marry. I'd hate to dislike any future sister-in-law. Brielle is perfect for Avalon. They instantly clicked. Just like Colt and me.
Although we met when I was 15 and he was 16. We didn't know how we felt but we knew we liked the other. I was the first person he told when he was accepted to be a new recruit. He was so happy he hugged me.
Mother brings me out of my thoughts as she pats my shoulder. "How long will you be on the island?"
"A week and a half perhaps two,"
"Colt and I went for two weeks. It was a blessing," I smile when Colt and I went to the summer manor. It was an absolute blessing. Getting away from all the crazy being a royal comes with. "We had such a wonderful time. When we got back Carys had a meltdown. He was so happy to see us,"
Brielle lightly snorts. "Would he do it for Avalon and me?"
"Carys gets attached," I smile at Brielle through the mirror. "He will most defiantly do it for you and Avalon,"
"Come let's get you in your dress," I motion for Brielle to get up. She softly sighs. By the corner of my room is the dress.
Her dress is beautiful. A stunning colour of cream with intricate details of roses and cherry blossoms. A mass of them sit at the hem of the skirt and slowly cascade up. It's perfect for a spring wedding.
