"Where is Wyn?"

"Back in Delsaran. Our master needs him."

"I—"

"Enough, Korbin." Rhangul snaps. A stray tendril of flames whisks around the top of her head. Like a crown. Too bad she's not a princess. Or Queen. No matter how hard she tries she's not royalty.

"I see why your master sent Wyn and not you," I mutter.

Rhangul's grip tightens on her cup of wine. Her eyes blazing. Hues of blue, pink, purple and gold swirl around the flames. "You should do your best not to anger me."

I raise an eyebrow. "No wonder you were left in Delsaran."

Rhangul rolls her eyes and goes back to whatever she was doing. "It's a wonder my master picked you and not one of your elder siblings."

She's resorting to insults. Never would have guessed she'd be that petty. Not going to work on my Rhangul. I have 6 older siblings.

"I suppose you have promise...although your eldest sibling is quite attractive. Plus he is quite the accomplished mage himself." Rhangul leans back and swirls her wine around the edge of her cup. "Even your sister has an edge on you."

"Enough! I will not stand to hear any more of your fits of jealousy!" I growl at the lady of Delsaran. A wide grin worms its way onto her face. She did that on purpose.

I go back to my studies. Rhangul wonders around my room. She aimlessly touches every book on my shelves. That is annoying. Stop it. She smirks at me as she does it.

Great, I have no choice but to ignore it.

"When will Wyn return?"

Rhangul growls. "Soon."

My door creaks open. I scramble to cover my work. Thankfully it's only Rhangul. She says I should lock the door but I never do. Mother hates it and I rarely remember.

Besides Rhangul has never been the most attentive teacher. Wyn was better. So much better. I can't wait for him to return. Elduin would be better than Rhangul. And he's sassy as shit.

"Where have you been?" I ask Rhangul.

She sniffs. A dreamy smile breaks out. I growl her name.

"Out."

"Please keep your whores away from the castle."

"Who said I was in the castle?"

I roll my eyes and grumble.

Rhangul chuckles and flops onto my bed. As usual, she messes up the sheets. I just made my bed. Thank you. Rhangul rolls around and pulls on the blanket Elysia gave me for my 30th birthday.

"Can you not."

"Not do what?"

"Pull on that." Rhangul frowns and drops the blanket. "Thank you."
