Daniel's POV

After what I've remembered, I fell into a deep sleep.

Ugh- wait! What happened!?

...Oh right. I fell asleep. How long was I sleeping...?

I open my eyes and sit up on the bed. I rub my eyes and yawn.

"Hey Va-"

Vanille's not here.

I look down and sigh. Maybe she's making herself at home.

I stand up and make my way to the bathroom. I brush my teeth as I think about what happened.

You've got to let go of the past. You can't live while mourning the past- and fearing it may happen again.

Let. Go.

I splash water on my face, looking at myself in the mirror. I laugh at the sorry sight.

I walk out of the bathroom ready to put my clothes on, until...

I hear voices coming from outside the room. Curious, I pay attention, trying to listen the conversation.

"Who are you!?"

"Who are you!? This is my brother's house!"

"W-wait. Are you Daniel's sister!?"

CRYSTAL!?

"H-how do you know him?"

"Oh my god! He's going to be so happy!"

I quickly run to the door. I open it, revealing a happy Vanille in front of my sister, Crystal. I stand there, waiting for them to notice my presence.

Vanille introduces herself to my sister. I notice Vanille struggling to make eye contact.

Guess she doesn't change even when she's happy.

"I see you're more interested on her than me. Rude." I smirk.

Crystal quickly turns around and looks at me with wide eyes.

Oh shi- I forgot to put on my jacket.

"Daniel!" Crystal and Vanille exclaim. Crystal runs closer and hugs me tight. Understanding she has been worried about me, I hug back.

We part the hug and look at each other. Crystal hasn't changed at all.

Crystal is about Vanille's height. She has a light blue dyed hair. She has blue eyes just like our father and the same skin color as me.

"I see you haven't changed at all," I say, with a smile on my face. Crystal doesn't return the smile.

"I see-" Her look starts to turn into a sad look. "You kept your promise?" She asks looking at my whole body.

Realizing this, I chuckle.

"Yeah, I kept my promise. Theses are just the old ones," I say, trying to reassure Crystal. I let her see my wrists. She counts twenty scars on each wrist.

Crystal sighs in relief.

I look past Crystal and look at Vanille, who starts to play with a strand of her hair.

"Wanna go to the couch?" I ask. "I have something to tell you"

"Okay." Crystal walks away first.

I look at Vanille. She doesn't seem to be comfortable with this.

"Are you okay?" I ask Vanille. She yelps nervously as she looks away.

"Y-yeah. It's just that..."

I chuckle in response. I walk closer to her.
