Vons POV

"Hey, Verx. Are you okay?"

"Is that really Daniel? He looks... mature."

"Of course. Unlike us, he chose to move forward and live his life. He passed through a lot, but that just gave him strength to keep moving."

"I'm starting to feel this is wrong, actually. He's yours."

"Verx... -sigh- this is going to be a lot harder than it seems."

"Don't look at me like that. We are just barely getting along because you begged for this. I'm simpathizing and you should at least see that, right?"

"Right. I forgot you're just two years younger than me and you're still spoiled like I was."

"Want me to haunt you again?"

"No, but you're still funny."

"You-"

"Listen, Verx. I know you're a whole different person, living inside the same body as me. You are independent, so I must treat you as such. I don't know if I'm being too selfless, but you can do pretty much whatever you want. With my consent, of course. Remember I'm the older sister."

"Von. To be honest, I didn't and I don't feel like I'm someone different. I feel like I'm part of you, and I always been feeling like that. When I was hunting you to take control... I was scared. I didn't know how to feel. I felt like I was missing something, and when I got to know you it clicked. I wasn't feeling complete because I am not. I'm part of you but not you. Maybe seeing this as if we are sisters is correct."

"Verx..."

Suddenly, Verx and I look around. We begin to feel a presence watching in the distance. Not in the real world, but inside our mind. It feels like hell.

Verx looks at me, scared.

Fuck. Are these the persecutors?

I stand in front of Verx and prepare myself for what is to come, but suddenly...

A tall figure stands in between us and the persecutors. A gray-haired tall goth girl that looks like she could break a concrete wall if she wants to. The disturbing feeling goes away as she stands tall in front of us. I can hear Verxs sobs as I take a few steps closer to her.

"Alice," The girl says before turning around.

Verx stays quiet as I begin to walk closer to Alice. I'm not feeling too optimistic.

"I heard you're the host. Von, is it?" Alice asks, extending her hand for a handshake. I extend mine as well and look at her closely.

"Yeah... what- are you doing here?" I ask, carefully choosing my words. I don't want to piss her off.

"Me? I've been dealing with that girl that planned to attack you for years, and I happened to see you 'round here. It's the first time we meet, I suppose."

I take a step back, calling Verx with my hands. I want her to know Alice too.

"I see. Can you tell me why?" I ask. She chuckles and gives me a smirk.

"Girl, I don't know. I've been here dealing with her so I don't end up getting killed and just now I realized I've been protecting you," Alice explains. It all makes sense. She's the protector.

"I see... I think we need to talk," I say, breaking the ice. Alice looks willing to listen, as she sits down on the floor.

Sorry, Arashi.
