You were part of the Homra clan since as long as you could remember. You were good friends with all the guys but one. Misaki Yata. Your long time crush. You knew why Yata and you weren't close, he has a problem with talking to girls. You understand that, but lately he has been completely ignoring you. It really hurt to see your crush distance himself from you, so you decided to move on. 

A guy from your work had just been dumped by his girlfriend and was looking for someone to make her jealous. You trying to move on from Yata, agreed. That's wear you are now, sitting in a tight black dress sitting across from Xander (the guy from your work). You knew he was talking but your mind kept wandering to what had happened back at the bar before you left. 

You walked into the Homra bar, wearing a tight dress, your hair (curled/straight/braided/ or if you have short hair just normal) You had put on some light make-up, not to much but not to little. The first thing the guys did was gasp, while others cat-called and complimented you. Being the only girl (other than Anna) this was a normal thing. You rolled your eyes and sat down at the bar, Mr. Kusanagi came up from behind the bar while a sly smirk "What's with the dress (Y/N)? Trying to impress someone in Homera?"  your face goes beet red, Mr. Kusanagi knew about your crush on Yata and was teasing you about it again. "Actually no. I have a date" you send with a mocking tone "Really?!" he questioned not expecting that answer "Looks like our baby's all grown up!"  Bando yelled throwing his arm around your shoulders. The rest of the guys laugh but you just throw his arm off you, "Shut up baka, I've gone on plenty of dates"  he just laughed and ruffled your hair "Sure kid" you rolled your eyes and pushed him away trying to fix your hair. while you were fixing your hair you didn't notice Yata's staring at you with a jealous look. "So, what time are you leaving for your mysterious date?" Mr. Kusanagi asked while cleaning an already clean glass. "Umm" you check your phone seeing he was supposed to be here a minute ago "He should be here any minute" at that moment Xander walked through the bar doors. He glanced around before his eyes landed on you, "Hey" he greeted while you jumped off the stool you were sitting on "Hi" you greet back grabbing your (clutch/purse) "You ready?'" he asked staring to feel uncomfortable with all the Homra members staring at him "Yup" with that you both started walking out of the bar but was stopped by Mr. Kusanagi's voice "Hey! If you brake her heart, all of Homra will brake you" your face flushes red with embarrassment while his flushes with fear  "y-yes sir" he turned and started to leave once again, you following. The last thing you heard before you left was the clan laughing and Yata's voice asking Mr. Kusanagi for alcohol. This was weird because Yata almost never drank.

You were pulled out of your thoughts by Xander "Oh, that's her! Quick laugh like I said something funny!" you started to regret your decision but played along anyways, giggling like a school girl. Xander was smiling at you but his eyes were obviously on her. The rest of the night went like this, the entire time you couldn't stop thinking about what Yata had said. Xander had offered to take you home back to your apartment. Luckily it was next to the Homra building, he parked the car outside of Homra and you both got out. You noticed someone laying in the middle of the side walk and getting closer to the person you realize you it is "Yata?"  he was passed out cold. "You know him?" Xander asked from behind you. You crouched down next to Yata while answering "Yeah, he's a member of Homra" You gently started to shake Yata's shoulder trying to wake him up "Yata, wake up" he mumbled some incoherent words and swatted your hand away like it was a fly. You sighed and stood back up, turning back to Xander you decided to ask him for help "Can you help me drag this baka to my apartment" he nodded his head "yeah of course" 

You both grabbed one of Yata's sides and carried/dragged him up to your apartment. It was a little bit of a struggle but you made. You guys gently set him on your couch, you and Xander had an awkward goodbye and he left. You decided to wake up Yata so you took a cup of cold water and dumped it all over the young vanguards head. He shot straight up with a surprised yelp. 

"Finally" you groan rolling your eyes "(Y/N)! What the Hell!" he shouts wiping the water off his head, and taking off his soaking wet beanie " you set the cup down on the coffee table before turning to him with your arms crossed "I found you drunk and passes out in front of Homra. Care to explain? because last time I checked you hardly ever drink" you sounded mad but the truth was you were letting your frustration, from him not talking to you, out. He glares at the floor and clutches his wet beanie in his hands "Whatever" he mumbles keeping his eyes on the floor "How was your date" he said the word like it was poison on his tongue. "Why do you care" you challenge raising an eyebrow, he raises his head to look at you his glaring traveling with him. "I don't" he said it so firmly it hurt "Then why did you ask" you challenge a glare forming on your face, he stands up and glares down at you (If your not short pretend you are) "I- Arghhh" he runs a hand through his messy chestnut brown hair, his gaze falling away from yours 

"That's not an answer" at your words his head snapped back to yours "You want to know why!?" his voice was deeper than normal and his eyes shined with an emotion you couldn't place "Yeah, I do!" you shout back taking a step closer to the fuming vanguard. He looked lost for words so instead he grabbed the sides of your face roughly and slammed his lips onto yours. Shocked your eyes fly open, slowly he starts to pull away, afraid he made a mistake. He grip the collar of his shirt in one of your hands, the other one resting on his hand that's covering your cheek. You melt into the kiss your lips move passionately against his. After a while you both sadly had to pull away for air. "I love you" he mumbles against your lips, his forehead resting against yours, you feel a smile making its way onto your soft lips "I love you too baka" a smile makes its way onto his face as well. 

The rest of the night you guys spent cuddling on the couch. Before you fell asleep, you explained to him that it wasn't really a date and it was just you trying to get over him and Xander trying to make his ex jealous. After you said this he mumbled something about kicking Xander's a** because he took you on a date before Yata did. 

I started as a terrible date but ended with an amazing boyfriend.
