You were a Guardian like Eve. The library decided it needed more Guardians to protect all of the Librarians. Eve protected Cassandra, Jacob, and Ezekiel, while you went on adventures with Flynn. You guys have been using this system for a few years now and over that time you and Flynn have become incredibly close. So close that you now had feelings for the Librarian, but what you didn't know was that he felt the same. 

Currently Eve was helping the 3 other librarians with some basic training while you and Flynn were in Tokyo trying to retrieve a Hannya mask. In order to get the mask you and Flynn had to infiltrate a party by some rich guy that owned the mask. You were getting ready, in a hotel that you guys rented for the night, while Flynn waited downstairs.
