A/N: I haven't seen the Flash in a really long time so sorry if I get some stuff wrong.

You had just moved to Central City for your new job, J/B. You were really excited because tomorrow was your first day. 

You had arrived at the apartment complex that morning and had most of your stuff unloaded from the moving truck and in your apartment. You were carrying a heavy box up the stairs when you hear a feminine voice "Let me help you with that" A women with smooth chocolate skin, sweet warm hickory brown eyes, and soft caramel hair. "Thank you" you breathed out as she grabbed the other side of the box. You guys start carrying the heavy box up the rest of the stairs making light conversation. 

"I'm Iris. Did you just move here?" she smiles "My names Y/N. And yea I just moved here from HC/N" You two reach the top of the stairs. "I don't think I've ever been there before. Is it nice?" You start walking down the hallway lined with doors mentally counting each one to remember yours. "Yea its a cute little town. Nothing like Central City" You stop in front of a door labeled 56B with bright gold lettering. "This one's me" you push open the unlocked door and the both of you set the box down by the door. "Thank you again for the help. I don't think I would have made it up the rest of those stairs by myself" She lets out a little giggle "Of course I was happy to help" She was about to say more but her phone rang cutting her off. She pulls it out of her pocket and checks the caller ID. "It's my boyfriend Eddie, I gotta go but if you ever need help with anything just stop by the coffee shop Jitters. I'm almost always there" I nod my head and walk to the front door. "I will, thank you again!"

She goes off down the hall and I stare at my messy living room full of boxes. I let out a deep sigh knowing that I need to get to work. 

-------------------------------Time Skip----------------------------

You've been here almost a week and so far was loving it. You were a little homesick missing your family but you loved your job and you loved your cozy little apartment. Today was your first day off and you decide to look for that Cafe Iris had mentioned last week. You strolled around the city not in any rush to get anywhere. Eventually you stumble across the small Cafe. You head for the doors and before you can open them they swing at you. Hot coffee is spilled down your shirt, you let out a small screech of surprise and slight pain. You lift your head to see a tall, slender but muscular, awkward man. He had soft electric blue eyes with little flecks of gold near the pupil. His hair was hazelnut and spiked up, but it looked super fluffy and soft. "Oh my god! I am so so so so sorry! Are you ok! God i'm sorry!" He started rambling on apologizing not really knowing what to do. "It's alright, i'm fine" he looked skeptical at the answer "Are you sure?" you can't help but giggle slightly "I'm sure"

He starts to relax slightly and purses his lips to say something but a new voice makes him tense again "Barry Allen what did you do now?" You both turn to see Iris wearing an apron with her hands on her hips. "It was an accident!" Barry starts to ramble again saying how he didn't mean to do it. Iris walks over and pulls a bunch of napkins out of her apron pocket handing them to you. "Here he's a clumsy idiot" she says with a slight giggle and an eye roll. You giggle too and start to wipe the coffee stain off. "Thank you" you say. Her name gets called from inside the shop and she turns to leave. "Barry will help you with that, oh and I won't be home tonight Barry. Eddie is taking me out to dinner with his parents" Barry gives her a quick nod and she walks back in the coffee shop. "Is there any way I can make this up to you?" he asks with big guilty puppy dog eyes. You can't help but smile and slightly blush now realizing how cute he was "Really it's ok" you tell him. He glances down at his watch and looks even more guilty. "i gotta go I'm going to be late. But please, tomorrow meet me here at noon and I'll buy you a drink" with that he ran off.

You decided to return home without getting a drink. You were smiling the whole way and the whole night. One week here and you already have a date with a super cute guy. You went to bed early that night excited for your date in the morning. Luckily your lunch brake was at noon so you can just spend it with him. In the morning you got ready dressing up with something extra nice but not to flashy. You also wore something that he couldn't stain with coffee, just to bed safe. 

It was finally time for your date and you waited outside nervously. It was already 10 minutes after noon and you were starting to get worried he wasn't coming. Just when you were getting ready to leave you hear a chorus of 'sorrys' You look down the street to see Barry running out of breath trying not to bump into the many people. "Hey" he says out of breath when he finally reaches you. A small smile grows onto your face "Hey" He chuckles nervously open the door for you "I was kinda worried you wouldn't show up" you giggle also nervous "You seemed really sorry and I never got to get my drink yesterday" You both walk into the line to see very few people in front of you. "Yeah, sorry again I need to start looking where I'm going. Um you can order whatever you want" He nervously scratches the back of his neck glancing at the menu. "You sure?" you question. He quickly nods "I owe you for ruining your shirt yesterday" You two step up to the counter and see Iris at the register. She gives Barry a smug look "What can I get you guys?" Barry gestures for you to go first so you order F/D. 

You both walk over to a booth to sit down while you wait for your drinks. You try to start some light conversation to ease the tension between you two. During your awkward conversation you get your drinks and you both start to relax more. The awkward silences were covered up by small sips of your drink. By the end of your lunch hour you guys were laughing and smiling. You both even started flirting a little. But sadly the date was over and you both had to leave. He offered to walk you back to your work claiming it was in the same direction as his work. 

"I had a really nice time today" you tell him a smile resting on your face "yeah, me too" You stop in front of your work doors. "Would you maybe want to do it again?" he asks nervously scratching the back of his neck. You nod "Definitely. See you around Allen" you tell him walking into the tall building. Barry's smiles grows a mile wide and he looks around making sure no one is around before speeding off back to the lab so he can tell Kaitlin and Cisco about his amazing date.
