Kisha and the Magical Horse

Autumn In Summer

Kisha was riding on Penny's back, bobbing up and down.  And up and down.  And uuuup and dooooown...  LUCKILY, Kisha did NOT have motion sickness, since she was practically born a horse rider.  Penny trotted through the woods, causing golden and red leaves the color of flame to smack Kisha's face.  Over and OVER again.  BUT, for some reason, Penny kept stopping occasionally which made Kisha quiet impatient.  

Kisha finally sighed, "Penny.  Why are you stopping every now and then???"

Penny snorted.  "Well, you might not know this, but I am stepping on mud."  So?  Kisha thought, raising a brow.  Seeing Kisha's expression, "It's gettin' ma hooves all dirty!  I DON'T like this!  Did you bring that fresh damp cloth you use to clean my hooves?" Kisha sighed.  She didn't expect to think that Penny's personality was.... Tsunami.  (You should know what that means if you read the Wings of Fire series, and yes, Kisha reads it.) Kisha went through her head and checked her list of things she brought: Plenty of apples, a bag (ya never know when you need one!), Her toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, extra clothing, a saddle, water, sunscreen, and a tissue box.  She was about to ask if Penny was fine with tissues when she nearly fell off of Penny, startled.  "What's the matter?" Penny neighed, concern in her voice.  

"I-I..." Kisha stuttered.  It had just occurred to her that she had sunscreen in the bag, which was normal, since it was early summer.  So why was it fall in.... wherever they are?  As if reading her mind, a voice answered that question.

"Oh, it's cuz this is my home, and these leaves are fire-proof.  obviously."

"Oh, okay..." Kisha mumbled dismissively stroking Penny's mane.  

"Ummm, Kisha?" The girl looked down, responding to Penny's call.  "That wasn't me..."

Okay, this chapter was short, and I haven't updated in my books for a LOOOONG time.  I'm sorry for that, and thank you guys for being so patient! :)
