Burdock led P.B. through his village, pointing out this and that.  When the tour was finished,  they went to Burdock's house/den/hut thingy.  It was a neat, cube-shaped house.  It had a soft "bed" made of spongy moss, and hay.  Storm, P.B., and Burdock layed on the bed.

"Now, there's one last thing you should know..." Burdock whispered, flicking his tail at Storm, signaling to close the entrance flap.  Burdock dramatically leaned in "There can be many mysterious and magical things out here, that only the talented & special ones can see, hear, and hear.  Those things can be very.... dangerous." Well THAT sounds pretty ominous.  P.B. thought.  Suddenly, he felt an urge to go out there, and discover those mysterious and magical things.  He stood up, and bowed his head to Burdock, and ask him if he could stay for the night.  By now, P.B was hungry for adventure more than ever, not mentioning Kisha.  Burdock smiled, "of course, you are welcome here.  Storm, please escort P.B. to one of the spare dens, so he may rest there." he said.  Storm nodded, and beckoned P.B. to follow him.  It was easy to get lost in the village, with so many horses, and winding paths, here and there.

The next day, P.B. woke up with a stretch.  He smelled the sweetness of apples, and his ears perked up, thinking that Kisha was here.  Sadness came to him when he remembered that he was in the wild now, and there was no Kisha whatsoever.  He looked up and saw a log with ripe apples on top, and P.B. greedily ate them.  He trotted out of his shelter, and realized that the sun was just rising.  He looked around and saw no horse-- wait.  There was one!  But only one.  The horse's mane flapped in the wind, and P.B. squinted at the figure.  Was that..... a horn?!  P.B. was now running towards the horse-with-a-horn, acting before thinking, of course.  The horse whipped around, and P.B. immediately knew it was a mare.  The mare seemed like it was about to bolt away to who knows where, when P.B. pant-shouted.

"Wait *pant* I *pant* want to *pant* talk to you *pant* about *pant* something!" P.B. neighed, his sides heaving.  Hmm, I bet wild horses can go WAY faster than my clumsy footwork...  yay me... The mare froze, and studied P.B.

"A major..." she whispered.

"*cough cough* excuuuuuse meeeee?" whinnied a visibly confused P.B.

"You-- you're a major!" she practically yelled, and there was a big neigh from Burdock's den, and the mare's eyes widened.  She bolted off, leaving P.B. standing there awkwardly.  Welp, here I go, following a mare that I don't even know...

                                                             Burdock's POV

Burdock jolted awake, when he heard a loud whinny.  He bucked, raising his two front hooves, and let out a warning call.  As soon as he let out that noise, he galloped out of his den to see the rest of his herd trotting out of their dens, too.  He looked around and saw nothing strange, although P.B. wasn't outside.  Burdock he walked over to P.B.'s borrowed den and trotted inside.  The scene he saw was alarming.  The apples were eaten, and hoofprints of P.B.'s led to outside.  Burdock walked out slowly and snuffled the dirt, following P.B.'s hoofprints.  P.B. was a young horse, and Burdock felt responsible for him in a way.  He trailed along the hoofprints, hoping to track that white horse down.  Then, Burdock spotted a point where P.B.'s tracks messily dug into the earth, dirt scattered.  He followed the marks all the way to the border line.  Burdock sighed and teared along all the way back to his village.  He went into Storm's den, finding him training Dapple while his mate, Thundercloud was watching in the corner, a smile on her face.  She must be very proud.  Burdock thought.  He didn't have a mate himself, let alone any foals.  Burdock snorted, catching the family's attention.

"What is it, Burdock?" Storm asked, worried, seeing Burdock's troubled expression.

"It's P.B.  He's gone."
