A/N You saw this coming... here we go!
As P.B. followed Mane, his mind was filled with questions, and if he didn't get answers, he thought he would explode! Finally, Mane stopped, and P.B. looked around the surroundings. It looked normal. Trees and shrubs covered the soil, dotted with white and purple flowers. Wind tugged at P.B.'s mane, and the summer sun beat down upon him. There was a huge cluster of gooseberry bushes next to the horses. P.B. watched as Mane signaled for him to be absolutely silent.
"Do NOT tell anyone unless I let you" she whispered seriously.
P.B. was puzzled. "Tell what to anyo-😲" P.B. gasped and dug his hooves into the dirt as his jaw dropped. Mane had tossed her head throwing her mane aside, letting P.B. see her whole face. He stared and stared at a horn sprouting from her forehead. He nearly whinnied at the top of his lungs when he remembered to keep quiet. MANE IS A UNICORNNNN!!! P.B. quietly pranced around. The legends were true! P.B. could tell his stable-mates about seeing a unicorn! For real! Suddenly, a pang of homesickness struck his heart as he thought of home. Home. A nice warm place, apple trees about. P.B. was about to sigh when he remembered Mane was there. He watched in awe as her horn glowed, and a beam of lavender light streaked into the gooseberry bush. Instantly, there was a doorway in the leaves. Mane stepped in with no warning, and P.B. followed, being the adventurous horse he was. Inside it was daytime, a whole new world. It was an endless meadow filled with fresh grass and flowers, fruit sprawled everywhere, never rotting. There was a big lake full of beautiful and elegant fish, swimming this way and that. P.B. soon realized there were unicorns everywhere. Their coats shimmered in the sun as if they were made of stars. Mane lead P.B. through a stone path to a humongous birch tree. There was a den at the very top, impossible for ordinary horses to reach. P.B. expected Mane to use her magic, but when their eyes met, she shook her head.
"You must do this yourself." she neighed. Before P.B. could protest, the unicorn had vanished. P.B. stamp his hooves into the lush, green ground in frustration. He still didn't know what a Major was! Not to mention, he had to find his way to the top of this stupid tree. Somehow, P.B. felt like something was connected to him from that tippy top. He looked around helplessly. Concentrating on the den in the tree, he felt something pulse through him. Suddenly, a bright light flashed around him and he felt like his body was stretching and expanding. He opened his eyes and blinked a few times, adjusting to the normal light again. He gasped and did a tiny buck as he realized he was in a wooden den. There was a was a table made of hay bales, and a bed made of moss and feathers. There was a wooden shelf on either side of the room and inside there were those book-thingies that Kisha sometimes mentioned. At the spines of those, there were wooden handles, so you could use your teeth to pull or push them in and out of the shelves. The were horseshoes embedded into the sides, which horses could use to open. P.B. looked out a pane of glass and he saw the unicorn village below him. His bright eyes rounded, and he whinnied with pride. He had made it to the top of the birch tree! But how? That would have to wait. P.B. scented to other horses and he turned around. There was Mane and another male unicorn next to her. He had crystal blue eyes, a grey coat, and a white forehead. His black hooves and mane glistened in the light. It seemed like all unicorn coats shined, no matter what!
"Who are you?" P.B. asked not unkindly, narrowing his eyes.
"I am leader of unicorns, Amalthea." the new unicorn said.
