Kisha felt Penny's warm breath at the back of her breath in the shadows. It was night time and the shining moon was high in the sky. The tree's foliage covered up the bright stars. Phoenix, lit a campfire, while Kisha and Penny rested in their clean and comfy moss beds. They also had silk lining from silkworms in the mulberry forest. Phoenix said that the worms were imported from Asia and were slaves in factories. The silkworms Kisha met were ones that escaped. Anyways, Phoenix had also provided some of his feathers. They were about to fall off anyways so they wouldn't cause fires, even if they're warm. Kisha's stomach growled and she realized she hadn't eaten lunch OR dinner. Quickly she shoved her hands into her overalls and picked out a smooth apple. She took out two more so Kisha could eat two and Penny eats one. The horse had been grazing while they traveled through the woods. Phoenix made his own nest in the trees and caught his own food to eat. Kisha still felt hungry so she woke up in the middle of the night. Phoenix had his head tucked in his wings and Penny was making snuffling sounds while she slept. Tip-toeing so she wouldn't wake the others, Kisha made it to a fresh stream by camp. Taking out a hunting knife and flashlight, she spotted a trout swimming by the streambed. She carefully creeped up to it and raised her knife.
Naw, she thought, stopping in her tracks, It's to fast. hrmmm... AHA! Kisha quietly reached into her pockets and took out a lighter. She set it to its warmest temperature and heated the knife until she saw smoke and the knife was tipped with orange. Carefully and fast, she dropped the knife into the stream. The water boiled with heat, and as the temperature rose, the fish darted around in panicked. It tried to swim away, but it was to late. Kisha tromped back proudly towards camp and when she arrived, she had also picked ripe strawberries. Stretching, she settled down to sleep.

That morning, Kisha ate steamed fish while Penny grazed.
"C'mon, let's hurry!" Phoenix squaked after he gul down raw tuna. From morning to afternoon they walked through tall grass. Phoenix could fly and since Kisha was on Penny's backed, they could see over grass and direct Penny in which direction she should go. Soon, Kisha spotted smoke.
"Penny, try going right." Penny snorted and veered towards the grey clouds of smoke. The grass gradually became smaller and Kisha jumped off her horse. Looking around and taking the sight in, it almost looked like a village! Penny trotted over to a pile of hay and nibbled. Soon, curious snouts of horses poked out of the smol huts.
There was a loud whinny which came from a big brown horse. Penny pricked her ears and whinnied back. They were communicating in horse speak. After a loud conversation, Penny told Kisha that the brown horse is Burdock, the leader of this herd. They had given shelter to P.B. until he ran off to somewhere. Kisha looked at Phoenix.
"You said you know where he is... Do you know what the place he's at right now is called?" Kisha asked.
The bird nodded and dropped to a whisper. "He's at the... Unicorn Valley."
