The pic above is Amalthea (he has no gear and has a horn).
Amalthea wasn't that bad. He helped and gave shelter to P.B. just like Burdock had a while ago. At the moment, P.B. was chillin' at a big clay hut with Mane. They were lapping up water from troughs and wrapped in warm, light blue cloth.
"So uh," P.B. started and Mane looked up. "Remember when you called me a Major? What does that mean?..."
Mane nodded. "I suppose it is time to explain why I've brought you here. Being a Major means you can break through boundaries and unlock your full potential being. Before you ask, lemme tell you about the three territories. Now, the first one is the earth horse race. They live on earth as you may have guessed, and are strong and great farmers. Burdock is there leader."
"Ooh! That's where I first saw you!" P.B. interrupted.
Mane nodded and continued with ease. "The second race is the unicorns. We have magical abilities and can almost do anything if we have enough strength. The more powerful the magic, the more potential you need. The only magic we can't do is flying and shapeshifting. We live in an alternate time and space so there are no other creatures hear unless they enter this universe. Finally, the third race. Pegusi. They are pretty much just horses with wings."
"Flying horses?! Incredible!" P.B. widened his eyes in awe.
"Pegasi live in another alternative time and space which is made of clouds. Only they can stand on them without the use of magic. About the boundaries... Did you feel anything when you exited the earth horse territory?"
P.B. back tracked into his memory in silence. The scene played in his head:
He couldn't stop himself, and whooshed past the border. Suddenly, a jolt went through his hooves, freezing himself in place. P.B. checked himself quickly. The only difference he saw was that he looked.. cleaner.
"Yeah!" P.B. answered. "I had the weirdest feeling in my hooves and I looked a bit different after I crossed."
"Here's the thing: when a horse crosses boundaries, they will immediately teleport back to the center of their territory. If you were any other horse you wouldn't be able to cross without permission from the owner of the territory you're entering." Mane explained, "All the three horse races have their own border."
"What does this have anything to do with being a Major?" P.B. asked not unkindly, but he was getting restless.
Mane curled her lip and silently laughed. "Majors can cross borders without trouble. The feeling in your hooves was the border. Also, a Major is born annually and has nothing to do with the family tree. Every year, a Major helps one of the three races. He/she gets to choose which one they wanna help. That's why I brought you here--to help us."
