[credit to fucktardatyoservice for the banner. She nailed the pixelated/computer style so well. Hi, Lily!]

For those who are curious about my "schtuff". I'll also be giving some art tips you probably didn't ask for.

Photoshop - For the advanced editing and painting. This has become my main program with both designing and painting.

Krita - It's free. I used to use this because it's such a good Photoshop dupe.

MediBang - Where I used to paint 90% of my artwork. Painting at 600dpi has never felt more smooth.

Huion Kamvas Pro 12 - I recently upgraded to this. It's got a neat touch screen and it's not too big or too little for my painting.

❌Don't feel the need to buy a touchscreen drawing tablet. They're expensive and sometimes really unnecessary. It's uncomfortable starting on a basic tablet, but trust me, you'll get used to it within 1-2 weeks.
-Tip: to get used to your tablet easier, disconnect
your mouse and only use the tablet.

❌Don't feel discouraged if you don't have a drawing tablet or a fancy schmancy program! If you check on YouTube, there's a guy who paints badass anime art with his mouse on MS Paint.

❌ Don't feel discouraged if you have neither a drawing tablet, expensive software, or a computer! There are free digi-art apps for phones and tablets like: IbisPaintX and MediBang.

For all of you budding digital artists or people who just happened to read this part of the page, brushes are everything. A lot of amazing artists use custom brushes, but I generally just use 3 brushes.

♥Round, hard edge brush w/ opacity control

♥Airbrush  w/ opacity control

♥Textured, hard edge brush w/ opacity control

❌If you're a beginner, I don't recommend using the soft edge brushes. It makes your painting look blurry and smokey. Use the hard edge brushes and blend.

♥If you need help with drawing a thing, Google the thing and mimic it

♥If you need help with drawing a thing, Google the thing and mimic it. Digital art is a really high tech game of "mimic this reference picture until it's tattooed on your eyeballs so you remember how to draw thing".

❌You can use a picture for reference, but don't blatantly copy it. That's just plagiarism.

My inspirations:
♥WLOP/Wang Lin - this man needs no introduction. Just a quick Google of his artist name should blow you away. His speed painting videos give me life. I was mainly focused on anime-style until I saw his speed paints. He is the reason why I pursue semi-realism in my art.

♥RossDraws - the god of color dodge and awesome lineart.
