Y'all some sadists. One day after I release a chapter talking about my crippling fear of anything creepy, boom! I get a request from AdriannaRaines3172 asking me to make a bloody murder cover. As with the Silent Bells cover, I didn't hesitate to make it, but boy was I creeped the fuck out.
You know you're scared when you're designing the cover in broad daylight while singing "Country Roads" because it's the only way to keep your sanity intact.
This is another tutorial where I mix my digital art skills and my design process. Here goes!
The Request:
-creepy mask
-blue eyes, guy, mostly hidden face
-blood (like, alot)
-bloody title effects--Challenge Accepted!--
Design Process: 4-5 hours
I already had a vision for this cover as soon as I read her request form. I wanted a guy with a cracked mask and a bunch of blood spatters.
Nothing unusual here. All I did was paint the colors of his eyes and skin.
