Stella's pov

"So Damon, you still in love with Elena or have you finally realised that she's no good for you." I asked my brother about his love life as we sat in his room catching up.

Apparently Stefan was off apologising to Elena for threatening her. But Damon told me that she said she won't go out with any more Salvatores for the rest of her life so all they can be is friends if she does accept his apology.

"Actually, I realised that she wasn't my type a while ago. I only flirt with her to annoy Stefan but I think he doesn't seem to realise that. I actually like someone else but he'll never like me back so it doesn't matter." My brother blushed and I grinned. It wasn't everyday that Damon Salvatore blushed.

"It's a he then. Is it Alaric?" I asked, happy that Damon doesn't like Elena. To vampires, gender doesn't matter. It's all just stupid labels that humans put on it but vampires know better. Yes, some vampires only get with the opposite gender but that's only because they haven't found someone they really like romantically in the same gender. I have flirted with a few girls before but I'm too much in love with Elijah. Stefan dated a guy called Thomas in 1951 but he was killed by a vampire hunter.

Anyway, back onto the topic of Damon's crush. He shook his head when I suggested it was Alaric so I tried to remember Damon's normal type. In a girl, he liked someone who was fiery, passionate and someone who accepts him for who he is.

In a guy, he likes someone strong and powerful. Someone who he can't beat in a fight and will accept him for who he is. Someone who understands him.

I tried to think of anyone we know who was Damon's type and only came up with two people. Elijah and Klaus. The only two I know can beat Damon in a fight. I know it's not Elijah because he's too moral and selfless for Damon. Plus, he's mine! So...

"You like Klaus!" I shouted, shocked. Damon blushed crimson and looked down. That was enough of an answer for me as I stared at my brother with wide, unblinking eyes and my mouth agape.

"Kinda, yeah." He whispered quietly. I hugged him realising that he needed someone not to judge his choice in romantic interests like Stefan, Elena and most of their friends would. I don't care who Damon likes as long as they don't hurt him.

"I don't care that you like Klaus. Hell, I'm happy for you. I know that although Klaus has serious family issues, he'll be perfect for you." I told him, realising that Klaus and Damon have a lot in common.

They were both hated by their fathers (or step father in Klaus's case). They both hide their emotions so they won't get hurt. They both have loved a doppelganger when they were human. A doppelganger has broken both their bonds with their brother and both of them have been hurt in the past.

Maybe Klaus would actually be good for Damon. Now, he only has to realise he likes Damon. That won't be too hard. I saw the way Klaus looked at Damon when they first saw eachover at dinner but I didn't think anything of it at the time.

A few hours later, I was finally finished catching up with Damon and I checked the time on my phone as I arrived back at Klaus's mansion. It was 10 so not too late I realised, relieved as I walked in.

I found Elijah and Klaus sitting on the couch, looking as if they were also catching up. I could hear the others including Esther upstairs, probably getting settled in. I walked over to the couch and sat on Elijah's lap.

"Hey. How did shouting at your brothers go." He joked.

"Stefan wasn't there to hear it so I decided I'm going to do it when they're both there to hear it. We mostly talked about Damon's horrible taste in men." I laughed, remembering what I told Damon about how him and Klaus are so similar that it's scary.

"I thought he liked Elena." He asked with an eyebrow raised. I could tell that Klaus was interested in what I was about to say as he was staring at me, waiting for my answer.

"It turns out he doesn't. He just really likes to annoy Steffy." As I spoke I flickered my eyes towards Klaus, trying to tell Elijah that Damon likes his brother without Klaus noticing.

Elijah nodded and gave me a look to say he understands. He's eyes showed how shocked he was to here my brother liked his. I would be shocked as well in his position since Damon as Klaus supposedly hate eachover.

"So Stella, how about the story of 1864 you promised." Klaus reminded me and I grinned, knowing he probably only wanted to know more about Damon when he was human.

The next morning, I woke up to find that Elijah was gone. I heard the shower running and realised he was just in the shower so I got up and walked over to our shared wardrobe and changed into a pair of black jeans, a light blue tank top and black trainers.

I had just finished brushing my hair as Elijah got out of the shower. I smiled at him as he came out wearing his usual suit.

"Wow. It's morning and your in a good mood. Must be a miracle." I pouted and crossed my arms over my chest as I was mad at him but he just laughed at my childishness. Meanie!

"So, I was wondering. Are you a hundred percent sure Damon likes my brother because I thought they hate eachover." Elijah said as he put his shoes on. I nodded.

"Yep. I know my brother better than anything and he definitely likes Klaus. That and he told me so himself. Now I just need to get Klaus to admit that he likes Damon and then all that's left to do is lock them in a room together." Elijah raised an eyebrow at me.

"You sure have thought this out. But how exactly are you going to get my brother to admit that he likes Damon." I smirked evily at him.

"No! No! No! Whatever you're thinking, my answer is no!" He exclaimed at my expression and I rolled my eyes.

"Pleeeeease. All you have to do is go to the grill with him and get him drunk enough to ask him if he likes anyone and then when he confesses to liking Damon, convince him to invite Damon to the ball your mother is throwing." I begged him.

He told me about the ball last night and it fits perfectly into my matchmaking plans. In fact, I wanna set Elena up with Kol as well since she and Stefan are still broken up and will remain that way according to Damon and they honestly seem like a good match. Kol is someone Damon will approve of so he won't try and interfere; Kol's also the only original who hasn't done anything to get in her bad books (no offence Elijah)

"Fine." Elijah gave in with a sigh. I grinned and kissed him quickly before pulling away and saying goodbye to him as he left to convince Klaus to go to the grill with him so he can help out my matchmaking plans.

I suddenly realised that with Elijah and Klaus gone, I was left alone in a house with their mother and siblings and quickly decided to go visit Elena since I haven't talked to her in a while. I sped out, happy that I finally found something I'm good at; meddling in other people's love lives!
