Chapter 14:Hazy Nights

I can't lie, I'm exhausted as shit from riding all those rides at the amusement park. All I want to do is take a nice, hot shower and lie down in bed. I had an amazing time with Neel. We enjoyed each other's company and comfortable silence. We got in the car and listened to Chance The Rapper.

We vibed all the way to the hotel. "Lily can I ask you something?" He asked. "Yeah." I said.
"Are you hungry?" He asked. I can't lie I haven't really eaten anything other than funnel cake. I wasn't going to say anything until I heard my stomach growl loud as fuck. So fucking embarrassing. "Alright lets get you something to eat before your stomach devours your entire body from the inside out." He said jokingly.

We arrived at the same diner that we went to last night. I must say, Neel knows his way to my heart when it comes to making me happy about food. I guess I was taking to long to get out of the car because I didn't notice that Neel had to unbuckle my seatbelt and carried me out of the car.

"Neel, you can put me down. I'm not a baby." I said.
"Lily, I wish I could put you down, but you're tired as hell from riding every ride at the amusement park. Plus, I don't want you to trip and fall." He said.

I can't lie, he was telling the truth. When I'm sleepy, my clumsy ass trip and fall on stuff. People would think that I'm drunk as fuck when in fact I'm sleepy. Story of my life. We walked, well Neel walked, while my ass was carried like a baby, inside of the diner.

"I see y'all came back. I'll get you the same booth." Said our old waitress Amy. I think that's her name. We followed her to our original table from the night before. He placed me down on the seat and sat beside me this time. I was slightly confused as to why.

"What would you like to drink?" Asked Amy.
"I would like some water." He said. He took a pause and looked at me.
"Do you drink coffee?" He asked.
I nodded my head.
"What kind of coffee?" He asked.
"Regular coffee with hazel nut creamer." I said.
"Alright I'll bring out your water and coffee with hazel nut creamer." Said Amy.

I didn't think she could hear me, but I guess she could because I thought I was whispering. But I guess my voice wasn't low enough.

"Did you enjoy your amusement park experience?" He asked.
"Duh. It was fun and again thank you for everything. I know no one would ever do this for me." I admit.

Neel just smiled at me and that smile of his was very contagious. What is this man going to me? I thought to myself. But one thing I can say, Neel has been my savior today and I don't know what would've happened if we never crossed path yesterday.

Before I knew it, Amy brought out our drinks. Neel gently placed my coffee down right along with the hazel nut creamer. I doctored up my drink and blew the steam before drinking it. Must I say coffee is the best medicine and drug ever created to keep me awake.

"Is it that good?" He asked.
"Wanna try it?" I asked.
He raised an eyebrow at me and went for it. He grabbed my coffee and took a sip of it. The look on his face showed the exact expression that I had.

"Damn. This shit is good." He said.
"What can I say? I'm the bomb when it comes to making drinks and making coffee." I said.
We both were giggling at each other's none sense. We damn near forgot that Amy was still there.

"Do you guys want the same food from last night?" She Asked.
We both nodded at her and continued on with our conversation. I can't lie we were being very rude, but we going to make sure she gets tipped well, with my persuasion with big spender.
