Chapter 16: Pay Back Is A Bitch, I Can't Wait For You To Meet Her

I can't believe that bitch hit me. That bitch really hit me. I don't regret shit about kicking her out. I pretended to be her friend so that I could get the apartment. Now that I have the apartment right along with my man, Deon, I can enjoy peace. Lily is a weak ass bitch with a sad life story. That shit doesn't make her more special than the next bitch that walks on the street. I read most of her poems and I can't lie, she had some fire ass poems, but she wasn't going to fulfill her potential of being a writer if I didn't push her.

"You're good, baby?" Asked Deon
I side eyed this motherfucker because he knows that I'm not ok.
"What the fuck do you think? Do I look ok to you?" I asked with attitude.
He was asking a dumb ass question and I gave his ass a dumb answer.
"Calm that shit all the way down. You're lucky that the Alpha Hybrid didn't try to kill your ass back there right along with me." He said.
I bet you're wondering how I know about werewolves and shit. Well, Deon, as you've already guessed, is my mate. He gets on my fucking nerves at times, but I love him. I could tell that the guy was Lily's mate even though she may not know, but I know she can feel the unexplainable pull of attraction between them.
"Whatever. I will fuck that bitch up if I see her." I said.
He pulled the car over.
"Let me tell your ass something. You won't do shit. That's one thing I'm going to tell your dumb ass. I told you to find a better way for my little sister to come live with us, I never said to kick your 'bestfriend' out on the street. I don't need you starting a fucking war with the hybrid because that man will not rest at nothing if his mate is harmed and I refuse to bring my sister and the rest of my living relatives to this shit." He said.
I rolled my eyes and he proceeded to drive.
I will kill you, Lily. Mark my words. I thought to myself. We rode in the car in complete silence.

I carried Lily to the car. She was unconscious and I guess the pain that she was feeling was too much for her. I knew she was going to be afraid, but I had to show her. I had to let her know about this world because I knew that either Deon or Mila would start a fucking war with me over her.  She was gonna have to know about my life and who I truly was eventually, but I wasn't thinking it would be this soon. I put her in the car and buckled her up. I went to my trunk and put on some gym clothes, then drove back to the hotel.
I felt my phone vibrate.
"Hello." I said.
"Hey sir. I just sent you the file about Lily. Her name is Lily Mahogany Banks. Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga, but she's been in the foster care system ever since she was born." Said Adrian.
Hearing this brought so many questions to my mind.
Who the fuck would give a baby up without any trace?
"Thank you, Adrian." I said
"No problem, sir. But if you don't mind me asking. Who is this girl to you?" He asked.
"She's my mate. Don't tell anyone. We will talk about this when I come back. I'll be staying in LA for a week, then I'll come back to Houston." I said.
"Yes, sir. Also, congratulations." He said.
I hung up the phone. I glanced over Lily and watched her rest. I knew this was my fault and I know she's going to wake up to so many questions. Either she will accept me as her mate or she'll die denying me and Lancestor full acceptance of her love.
Only time will tell. I just wish my mother was alive, she would've gave me the right advice on what I should do.

We drove in complete silence, the only thing that I could hear was Lily breathing. What am I gonna do?
