I got a random phone call last night. It was Karen. She was screaming and she seemed very stressed. I thought maybe she was joking but when I heard other voices I knew it was no joke. I woke my mom up and told her I needed to leave this instant. She saw the urgency is my eyes and she agreed to taking me to where Karen says she is. We were walking out of the door when Marcus came running. He insisted on coming with us. My mom drove crazy quick. Karen claims that she is at an abandoned thrift shop. She sent me the address but she never said who else was there she just said come quickly. I put on my headphones and tried not to think about what could be happening. She was crying and screaming on the phone and she sounded so nervous. Could she be with her fake friends, could they have betrayed her. Drugs are so dangerous could they hurt her. Or worse would they end Karens life because of something so petty. What if we do not get there in time. Finally we pulled into the back of Ricks Thrift Shop. There was graffiti on the walls and my mom said it has been empty since she was my age. We were in a very bad part of Alaska right now and I was personally afraid. I told my mom Marcus and I would go inside alone. She told me that was fine but to bring my phone just in case something goes wrong. As we walked in, I saw something I will never forget. Karen?
