I was so anxious and nervous to see her. To see her awake with my kidney. For her to be alive. When I first found out she over dosed I had so many questions but at this point I am putting all of them aside. I don't care why anymore I just care that she is alive now. As I got closer to her room Marcus and my mom had to leave. Then the doctor pointed to her room and left us. I walked faster, still walking and then I got to her recovery room door. I saw her jump up from her bed she saw me. The door knob was silver steel, shiny. I turned it and walked in slowly because at this point I was just sore. She smiled and spoke "Skye, you gave me your Kidney you saved my life. Thank you, you won Nationals and then you gave up your dream so I could live." I started to cry, "Karen you don't have to thank me, I would never let you die." She lifted my shirt and hers. She said "we have matching scars!" I giggled "Yeah I guess we do." Then she promised "I am never ever going to touch another drug again, nothing, I love being a goodie goodie and I want to stay a goodie goodie forever." I smiled and hugged her softly. "My Karen is back."
