"NOTHING BAD HAS HAPPENED WHILE I WASN'T WITH YOU RIGHT?" I asked Petal as we walked through the hallways of Pine Creek High.
"It's been fine Mak, no one has bullied me if that's what you're asking. . . I think they're a bit afraid right now." Petal murmured.
"Do you think I scared them?" I asked.
Petal shook her head. "Cordelia was sitting with me at lunch while you were gone. I think they're scared of her. . . she is scary. But no one comes over when she's at the table." Petal told me as she adjusted her backpack.
"Oh, she's sitting with you?" I asked and Petal nodded.
"Yeah. She isn't bothered by me not talking either. She seems nice enough. You're not angry right?" Petal asked.
"No, why would I be angry?" I asked her with a smile.
"I don't know. I wasn't sure if you'd be mad that I was sitting with someone else." Petal admitted as she looked up at me her eyes soft.
"Oh, I'm not mad Petal. I don't mind if you make friends. I am happy if you do. It's better than no friends." I told her and Petal smiled at me as she walked with me to our next class as we went on with our day.

School passed on normally with no incidents. Like Petal told me no one here seemed too keen on bullying her. I hadn't really gotten to know Cordelia, but if she is the reason for this I ought to thank her for it.
Petal means a lot to me, and I'd do anything to have her not be bullied. If Cordelia is the reason Petal isn't being bullied, then I must thank her for it.
At lunch we got some food from the cafeteria. Both Petal and I got some pizza. I got the untraditional one with the white sauce while Petal got the pepperoni pizza. We took a seat at a small table before going to eat.
Not long after sitting down I caught sight of Cordelia coming into the cafeteria. Her burnt amber eyes surveyed the cafeteria before they landed on Petal and a smile crossed her face.
She pushed her long auburn hair back before walking she came over to the table. Cordelia looked over at the table and smiled.
"Hello Petal." Cordelia spoke as she took a seat across from us.
I looked up at her. Petal gave her a small wave. "Who is this?" Cordelia asked.
"I'm Makya, I'm her brother." I told her and Cordelia smiled at me.
"You two don't look alike. You said you were an albino if I remember correctly?" Cordelia asked.
"I am, but I'm adopted. I'm his adopted sister. We aren't related. His mom adopted me a few years ago." Petal answered her voice quiet as she took a bite of her pizza.
Cordelia nodded as we turned our attention back to our food and carried on.
The rest of the day went on smoothly before Petal and I were walking through the parking lot. After a minute we found Quinton and the truck before getting in. Petal took the backseat, and I took the passenger.
"School go well?" Quinton asked.
"Yes." Petal murmured as she buckled up.
Quinton nodded. "That's good. Well mom is home as she finished her job search and has everything sorted. She's making homemade chicken sandwiches with fries for dinner." Quinton told us and we nodded.
The ride home was quiet before Quinton pulled up to the house and we all got out. Petal came over to my side and I gave her a smile as we went in.
Like Quinton mentioned mom was in the kitchen. She had her hair braided and was in an apron seasoning up some chicken for the chicken tenders. A smile crossed her face as she looked over at us.
