Let the Walls Break Down

I woke up later that evening, lying on my side. Connor's legs were tangled with mine, and my arm was wrapped around his waist, which was bare as he had taken his t-shirt off earlier for a reason which he wouldn't share. Carefully I removed it, making him stir slightly, and got up to turn the CD off. Then I realized that the CD was off, and saw a bright pink post-it note stuck to the player. We've gone out to dinner. The stove finally decided to break just when I needed it. We'll be back in a little while, it's a little after six now. I've set out two cups of Macaroni that you just have to heat up. Mom :)

I read the not quickly before looking at the clock. Six fifteen. They had probably left about ten minutes ago, so they probably wouldn't be back for another hour or two. I cringed at the smiley face and crumpled the note up, throwing it in my trash bin. Then I walked back over to the edge of the bed where Connor was still sleeping, sitting on the edge. I looked at the body behind me. His eyes were closed, and he had a peaceful look on his face. His eyes were almost completely covered with his black hair, and his lips were twisted into a small grin. I myself grinned before pulling the hair our of his eyes, revealing his forehead. Then I kissed the exposed skin on his head before pulling my hair into a ponytail and staring at my reflection, pulling off the hoodie and revealing the white cami.

"Stop staring at yourself," I heard Connor murmur. His eyes weren't open, but I could tell that he was awake. And he could tell that I was looking at myself again. Through the mirror's reflection I saw him open his bright blue eyes, and sat back down next to him. "You're beautiful. Get over it." I scoffed, and he got up, hugging me from behind and kissing the back of my head.

"Stop saying that," I replied, taking his hands away. "You hungry? They all went out to dinner and Mom left us some Macaroni." He nodded.

"Sure." I left to go downstairs and fix the food. "I'll miss you!" He called as I walked out the door.

"Shut up!" I called back as I descended the stairs, running my fingers through my hair. I quickly fixed the food and brought it up the stairs, walking in just as Connor turned on the TV. After handing him his food, I grabbed the remote and turned the TV to Invader Zim, which was my favorite show of all time.

Soon enough I heard everyone return home, complete with Robin running up the stairs and slamming the door to his room. Then Jacob walked into the room, holding two packets of paper. "Hey," I said. He walked over to us and handed us the packets, which were pretty lengthy. They were the school hand-book.

"I picked up these for you two earlier. I usually get up around five, get there by seven thirty so we can get in early. If we get there early enough I can show you to all of your classes before your first one starts, introduce you to some people and things like that," he said.

"Thanks. Just wake us up when you get up," I replied. "I can wake Connor up later." He nodded.

"See you tomorrow then. Night," he said as he walked out of the room, closing the door.

"You're really going to wake me up at five A.M?" Connor groaned. I shook my head.

"No, it'll probably be about six, since I have to take a shower and all of that crap. I'm not that cruel, you know," I replied, kising his cheek. He smiled and wrapped an arm around my waist as we read through the handbook and yelled at the stupid rules a few times.

"Ooh, so no making out or PDA?" Connor said, sounding dissapointed. "There goes my plans for tomorrow." I laughed quietly.

"Eh, there's probably going to be fifty or so couples making out. They ignore those rules usually unless they're like stripping or something in the hallways," I said. "That's what all schools do." He rolled his eyes and gave me a bored look.
