F O U R T E E N | Playing Hero

We rushed back to camp, carrying Finn in our arms. I tried my best keeping my grip on Finn as Bellamy, Jasper and I carried him into the camp. The tears were rolling down my face as I told everyone to move out of the way.

"Clarke! We need Clarke!" I shouted at everyone.

"Rae, what the hell? Finn?" Clarke cried out, "What the hell happened?"

"The Grounder stabbed him. Clarke you need to help him," I told her as my voice cracked at the end of my sentence.

"Bring him into the dropship," Clarke said as she rushed towards the dropship.

We carried Finn inside, before laying him down on one of the tables.

"Rae, I need water, can you get me some please?" I nodded at her before running out of the dropship and making my way towards the tent where we kept all our water. I took a bucket and filled it up with water. I rushed out of the tent and made my way back to the dropship, not before seeing Bellamy making his way towards the exit. I was about to call after him, but was stopped by Clarke shouting for me. I rushed into the dropship and placed the bucket of water on the table.

"How is he?" I asked Clarke.

"We need to get my mother on the radio or he isn't going to make it," she told me as she placed a towel on Finn's forehead.

I made my way over to Raven, seeing if there is anything I could do to help. Raven looked at me with tears in her eyes before shifting her focus back to the radio. I put my hand on her shoulder before squeezing it softly, trying to comfort her.

"Raven go and be with Finn. I'll try to contact the ark," I said softly.

"No, I need to do this Rae," Raven said sternly.

"Calling Ark Station. Ark station. Please come in. I'm on the ground with the hundred." Raven said trying to contact the ark, "We need you. Are you there? Please come in. Please... Calling Ark Station... The hundred are alive."

"This is a restricted station. Who is this? Please identify yourself." We hear a male voice speak through the radio.

I look at Raven with wide eyes. She did it. A smile begins to form on my face as Raven replies to the man.

"This is Raven Reyes. I- I'm from Mecha Station. I'm transmitting from the ground. The hundred are alive." She said quickly, "Please, you need to get Doctor Abby Griffin. Doctor Abby Griffin. Now!"

"Raven? Are you there?" I hear Abby's voice coming through the radio.

"Mom? Mom, it's me," Clarke said as she hears her mother's voice.

"Clarke?" Abby said with a sound of relief in her voice.

"Mom, I need your help. One of our people was stabbed by a grounder."

"Clarke. This is the Chancellor. Are you saying there are survivors on the ground?" Jaha asked.

I looked at Clarke before speaking up, "Yes, the Earth is survivable. We're not alone."

"Rae?" I hear my father's voice came through the radio. I feel my heart slowly beating faster at the sound of his voice. He is still alive. I didn't know if I should feel relieved or angry. Yes he is my father, but he sent me down here to die. I put my anger aside for one second before finally answering him.

"Dad?" I said softly.

"Honey, I'm so glad you are okay. I'm so sorry, Honey," my dad said with regret in his voice.
