T W E N T Y - T H R E E | PLAYING GROUNDER PART 2

I was still sitting on the ground tied up, as I look between Bellamy and Murphy. I know that if I speak up again Murphy won't hesitate to but a bullet in either Bellamy or me. Bellamy looked at me with sadness in his eyes, before looking back towards Murphy,

"Rae, has nothing to do with this. Just let her go, Murphy," Bellamy pointed towards me with eagerness.

"Why would I do that?" Murphy smugly said as he walked over towards me and knelt down. He picked my chin up with his fingers and turned my head to face him. Murphy slowly ran his thumb over my cheek, before speaking up again, "So naive. But it's not like you care for her, right, Bellamy. Because if you did you wouldn't have slept with her one of her best friends."

I looked at Bellamy once again, seeing regret in his eyes this time. I know that it is stupid of me to think after what I saw with my own eyes, but I know Bellamy would never actually do something to hurt me on purpose.

Murphy let go of me walking over to Bellamy and put a step stool in front of him.

"Stand on it and put it over your head," Murphy ordered him.

"This is insane. The grounders could..." Bellamy started but was cut off with a gunshot going off.

I yell left my lips as I started to feel this burning pain go through my upper leg. I look down towards my leg, seeing a hole in my jean's and red starting to stain it. I scream as the pain started to become worst and the blood starting to flow more out of my body. I quickly grabbed one of the cloths that was on the ground and pressed it onto the wound.

"Next one goes into her head, so put if over your head."

Bellamy took a deep breath before stepping onto the stool and put the makeshift rope over his head, "Happy now?"

Bellamy looked over towards me. His eyes asking if I was okay. I weakly gave him a nod, but our eyes broke contact as Murphy walked over to the rope, before making it tighter around Bellamy's throat.

"You're so brave, aren't you? I mean, you came in here thinking you're just gonna turn this whole thing around, that you were stronger than me, and maybe one of your friends would come and help you. Well, what are you thinking now, Bellamy? Hmm?"

I flinches as Murphy grip tightened around the rope again. Lifting Bellamy higher and making him stand on his toes.

"You know, I got to hand it to you, Bellamy. You got 'em all fooled. Even little Rae over there. They actually look up to you, almost as much as they look up to Clarke. Yeah, well, we know the truth, don't we? You're a coward. I learned that the day you kicked out the crate from beneath me." Murphy spat.

"You think they're just gonna let you walk out of here?" Bellamy questioned.

"Well, I think the princess is dead... but I know the king's about to die, so who's really gonna lead these people, huh? Me, that's who, and, yeah, maybe I'll have to kill your grounder-pounding little sister..." Murphy said laughing.

Bellamy launched forward towards Murphy but Murphy stopped him as he pulled the belt tighter, keeping Bellamy vulnerable.

"Aah!" I hear a voice shout from under the dropship.

"I'm guessing that's her right now," Murphy said, letting go of the rope before shooting towards the ground.

"No!" Bellamy and I shouted at the same time.

Bellamy and I both rush to get out of our straps, but Murphy quickly moved and kicked the stool from underneath Bellamy.

"Using your hands is a cheat. Mine were bound, remember?" Murphy said running over to Bellamy taking his hands way from his throat.

I started to feel weak from all the blood lost. I felt my body go numb as I started to feel tired and it was hard trying to keep my eyes open.

"Raven you did it!" was the last thing I heard before the darkness surrounded me.
