S E V E N T E E N | The Revolution Is Coming Part 2

I looked at Alex in shock before quickly helping him off the ground.

"Alex, what the hell?" I asked as I took a step away from him.

"Rae..." he said out of breath, "you need to..."

"Okay, hold on a second; breathe and start again," I said, trying to calm him down. He took a deep breath in and exhaled slowly.

"You need to go help Bellamy and the others. It's a trap."

I looked at him confused, wondering what the hell he is talking about.

"They didn't tell you?" he asked with confusion.

"What do you mean they didn't tell me? What didn't they tell me, Alex?" I asked out of frustration.

"Clarke and the others set up a meeting with our Commander."

I looked at him as my eyes widen in shock, "What?"

"Rae, we don't have time for explanations; you need to go help them. It's a trap. They said no weapons. The Commander didn't keep her end of the deal," He tried to explain to me.

"Okay, Alex. Lead me to them, now!" I quickly told him.

He quickly nodded as he took my hand into his before we started running towards where Bellamy and the others were.

As we ran through the woods everything kept replaying in my mind. Like, why didn't they tell me anything? Didn't they trust me enough to tell me something like this? The thought of anything happening to them will break me. I need to make it in time to stop this meeting. Please... let me make it in time.

And if it wasn't for Alex I would probably never have known. We came to a quick stop and my attention turned towards Alex.

"They are just a mile ahead. This is where we split up. We can't let my people see me with you or your people see you with me," He said before continuing, "You need to go to them now!"

I quickly ran towards where Alex told me Bellamy and the others were. The trees fly past me as I rushed through the forest with only one thing going through my mind... Will I make it in time? I slowly came to a stop as soon as I see an all too familiar curly head of hair. I slowly crept behind the trees with my head low, making sure no one can see me. As I came closer, Bellamy quickly turned around, his eyes widening as they land on me.

I quietly rushed over to them before slowly kneeling next to them.

"You guys are so fuckin' dead," I loudly whisper at them.

"Rae, what the hell are you doing here? How did you find us?" Bellamy asked me with confusion and shock.

"That is not important right now. What is important, is that all of you kept this a secret from me and went behind my back." I told them with anger laced in my voice.

"Because we knew you would do something stupid, something that would have gotten yourself killed," Bellamy said looking straight into my eyes.

"You might be right, but I always end up saving your asses."

I stared at him; expecting a response, but after not getting one, I stood up and planned on making my way to the bridge. Suddenly someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me back a step.

"What are you doing?" Bellamy harshly asked me.

"I'm not going to let my best friend die, Bellamy. Maybe you can let that happen, but there is no way in hell I'm going to," I said as I pushed him away from me.
