(This is a hypothetical "what if" sort of alternate chapter in place of the actual chapter 7 that I wrote. This has nothing to do with the actual plot. Chapter 8 continues on after the actual chapter 7 as usual.)
Payton looked down at the speeding traffic below her and sighed heavily, stepping away from the ledge, sitting down to draw her knees up to her chest. She pressed her forehead hard against her knees, the tears continuing to roll and looked out the corner of her eye as she heard the door to the roof open. Payton slowly lifted her head, quickly wiping away the tears before looking back out at the night sky.
"Payton." a familiar voice called. She slowly turned to see Niall slowly walking towards her, giving her a small smile. Payton gave him a half smile before turning her head again to hide the tears that rolled slowly down her cheeks.
"Hi, Nialler." she sighed, letting out a long breath. He sat beside her, sighing and looked out at the lights of the city.
"So, what happened?" he asked, slowly. Payton exhaled and slightly shook her head. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." he added. Payton looked over at him, giving him a grateful smile before moving closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. Niall's heart fluttered as she hooked her arm with his, snuggling into him before he hesitantly wrapped his arm around her waist, taking in a deep breath.
"I just don't think I can fix it." she sighed, shaking her head. Niall looked down at her as she ran her index finger down his bicep, taking his hand in hers. His heart continued to race as he secretly looked over his shoulder to make sure Harry was no where to be seen.
"Well, I think you can, Harry doesn't tend to hold grudges for long," he replied, gulping as she untangled her fingers from his to place her hand on his knee, running it slowly up his thigh. "Especially when the girl he's holding it against is as gorgeous as you." he added quietly. Payton's head slowly rose and she looked over at him, slightly surprised.
"You...you think I'm gorgeous?" she stammered, holding his gaze as he stared deeply into her wide, green eyes before slowly nodding.
"I really do." he sighed, glancing from her perfect, full lips to her beautiful eyes. She gave him a small smile, biting her lip before rubbing his arm, gently kissing his cheek.
He couldn't tell her he had a massive crush on her, it wouldn't be fair to Harry, he noticed and fell in love with her first and she obviously loved him just as much. His cheeks tinged pink as she slowly pulled away, smiling at him.
"Thanks, Niall." she replied, moving even closer to him. He breathed heavily before nodding.
"No problem," he said, smiling sweetly. Payton looked back out at the city lights and sighed, placing her head on his broad shoulder again. "Should we head back down?" he suggested, patting her lower back. She slowly shrugged and stood up with him, smiling.
"I guess," she replied. Niall nodded before turning to head back towards the door. "Wait." she called in a small voice, grabbing his hand, queuing the butterflies. Niall stopped dead in his tracks before he slowly turned around to face her. She looked up at him, biting her lip and took a step closer to him, looking up into his eyes. He took in a shaky breath before moving closer to her as well. She smirked and pressed her lips against his slowly, wrapping her arms around his neck as he draped his arms around her waist, kissing her back just as passionately. Something told him to stop as he felt a twinge of guilt in his gut, but he didn't want to. He'd dreamed of this ever since he met her in the bar, wanting to pull a move, but knowing if Harry ever found out, he'd definitely kill him.
He unwillingly pulled away from Payton, giving her a small smile as she bit her lip, smirking before taking his hand.
"Who're you sharing your room with?" Payton asked, pulling open the door as they headed back down the stairs.
"Liam, but he's most likely with Harry-" Niall stopped and quickly looked over at Payton. She slowly shook her head and smiled reassuringly.
"Its fine, could we go back to your room for a bit?" Payton suggested, looking over at him. Niall smirked as they headed down the hall towards his room and he nodded.
"Of course." he replied, squeezing her hand. Payton beamed as Niall quickly unlocked the door before stepping inside. He closed the door behind her and grinned at her as she made herself comfortable on the bed. Niall smirked, tossing off his purple v-neck and climbed onto the bed in front of her, continuing to smile. Payton grinned and looked down at her hands, fiddling with her fingers.
"Truth or dare?" Niall asked. Payton mock-rolled her eyes and grinned.
"Dare." she replied, leaning closer to him. Niall rose his eyebrows and moved closer to her as well.
"Kiss me." he whispered. Payton willingly crashed her lips into his, pushing him onto his back, pinning him down. She kissed him fiercely as he shyly moved his hands onto the small of her back, wanting this to go further but not wanting it to go any further than a steamy make out session. She trailed her lips down his jaw line towards his earlobe, queuing the moans. She smirked against his neck as his hands timidly made their way up her shirt before she threw it off, tugging on the waistband of his jeans. She fiddled with his belt, quickly undoing it as he fumbled with the button on her shorts. Payton quickly threw off her shorts and tugged off his pants before Niall flipped her onto her back, running his index finger down the centre of her stomach, teasing the waistband of her panties. He kissed her slowly, playing with the ends of her hair as the strands fanned out around her. Stop, Niall, this is going waaay too far. He told himself as he ran his hand up her back, making her fold into him as he slowly tried to unclip her bra, but stopped. He kissed her one last time before reluctantly pulling away from her, sitting beside her. She breathed heavily as she sat up, looking over at him with a confused look.
"Whats's wrong?" she asked, moving closer to him, placing her hand on his thigh. He stared at her petite hand and smirked, looking over at her.
"Nothing." he replied, kissing her gently as she pulled him back on top of her, tangling her fingers in his bleached hair. Niall felt the guilt come back but quickly pushed it away, he hated keeping secrets, mostly because he was no good at it, especially from Harry, but didn't he deserve to have a little fun as well?
