Payton tapped her foot repeatedly on the floor and bounced around eagerly as she waited for Harry’s flight to land at O’Hare International which would be landing any second. She glanced around the arrival’s area for any reporters and she was releaved to find that there weren’t any in sight. A man mumbled something into the speaker quickly and Payton’s head shot up as people flooded into the arrival’s area. She quickly straightened her shirt and fixed her hair, standing up straight as she hugged her sides. She nervously bit her lip as her heart fluttered in her chest, a smile pulling at the corners of her lips. She looked up to see her handsom, curly haired boyfriend striding through the crowd towards her, grinning. Payton beamed at him as he dropped his suitcase to wrap his arms tightly around her waist, spinning her around as she gripped the fabric of his black Ramones shirt, giggling. He set her down, holding her close to his body to crash his lips into hers passionately. She unwillingly pulled away from him and finally looked into his eyes as she cupped his face, the smile refusing to fade.
“I missed you terribly, love.” he murmured in his familiar English drawl. She nodded in agreement as she slid her hands onto his chest, fiddling with the black fabric in her fingers.
“I missed you too,” she whispered, kissing him again. “You ready to meet the family?” she asked, smirking at him. He returned the grin and gave her a confident nod as he reluctantly let go of her to grab his suitcase.
“Definitely,” he replied positively. Payton giggled and took his hand as they walked towards the parking garage. “How’ve you been, love?” he asked, gently giving her hand a squeeze.
“I’m alright, I’m happy that I can finally spend some time with you in person,” she replied feeling her cheeks burn. Harry smiled and looked down at the floor before quickly fixing his hair. “How’ve you been?” Payton asked, looking over at him with a smile.
“I’m great now.” he whispered, quickly kissing her. Payton bit her lip as she gave him a small grin, her eyes scanning over his angelic face.
They drove home, chatting and catching up with each other, barely able to keep their greedy hands to themselves. Payton pulled into the drive way and sucked in a deep breath as her heart raced. She looked over as the front door flew open, her three brothers running out of the house as Harry climbed slowly out of the car. Payton laughed as she walked around to stand beside him, smiling.
“Harry, this is Carson, Kyle and Jake.” she said with a grin as they all looked him over, smiling.
“It’s nice to meet you, boys.” Harry said, giving them a small wave.
“Harry, want to play some soccer?” Carson suggested, smiling at Payton who gave him a secretive thumbs up. Harry looked down at Payton, unsure of what to say. She mock-rolled her eyes and let go of his hand, giving him a small shove.
“Go, we’ll get your luggage.” Payton replied, quickly kissing his cheek as Damien emerged from the house, smiling. Payton quickly waved him over as he gave Harry a small smile and a wave.
“What is it, hun?” Damien asked, exhaling noisily. Payton opened the trunk and pointed to Harry’s suitcase.
“Can you bring it in?” Payton enquired in a small voice, worried of her Dad’s reaction. He looked over at Harry and gave a small nod.
“Alright.” he muttered, hauling the suitcase out of the car. Payton grinned and quickly closed the trunk, locking up the car before scampering into the house.
“Where’s he sleeping?” Payton asked as she watched her Dad head towards the spare bedroom.
“The spare bedroom, where else?” Damien chuckled. Damn it. Payton thought to herself. She quickly headed up to her room to change, glancing out the window at the boys. Turns out she’d been worried about nothing.
