Claire's POV

Bianca and I had gone to the bash together. I saw Nick then I pinched Bianca who squealed at the impact, making me laugh out an apology.

"There's the guy who invited me."

Bianca looked in Nick's direction and rolled her eyes saying "That's Nina's ex, your cousin's ex. Your pretend ex."

I gave Bianca an innocent face saying "I didn't break up with him, though."

"No, Claire. I'm not going to let an idiot QC prince take advantage of your good heart."

Bianca began searching her purse for something while I focused my eyes on Nick who stood with Natalie. She was telling him something that he wasn't paying attention on because he was looking at me.

"Here." said Bianca.

I took my eyes off Nick and looked at Bianca with a spray in her hand, she placed it in my hands and I scanned it.

"Pepper spray? Really, Bebe?" I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, you can never trust boys."

"But you trust boys easily, so easily that you take them home in the first two hours."

"I know how to pick 'em." she said with a proud smirk. "Your pretend ex soon to be bae is coming over."

Nick was coming over, I didn't dare to look. Bianca saw how panicked I was and chuckled.

"Be yourself. He already knows you and yet you're acting like he's coming to pick you up for a first date and shit." laughed Bianca "Bitch, use condoms."

What the bloody hell!?

With that said, Bianca vanished into the crowd.

How could she even think I'd sleep with him?

"You came and you look good." he said standing next to me, interrupting my thoughts.

I sent him a friendly smile and said "You look dashing yourself."

"Thanks. I had to make sure I looked good for you," he said making my cheeks red "Natalie even decided to create World War 3 in my closet."

I blushed ridiculously, my face must be redder than the blush that Bianca applied to my face. Nick could be charming whenever he wanted.

"Honestly speaking, I didn't think you'd come after the events that took place at the Squad House." he said scratching the back of his head.

"Well, I got over it quicker than I lit the matchsticks." I said with so much humor. I was trying to be funny.

I only got over it because Claud appeared.

Nick laughed in amazement, I could tell that he was faking it. I knew it was a horrible joke so I  joined in and laughed anyway.

"Wow, I like that you made a joke to hide your nerves, it's adorable." smiled Nick.

He was happy and so was I. We put what happened behind us.
I won't lie and say I didn't blush because I sure did and couldn't help it.

"Can you excuse me for a sec?"

"Sure." I said.

Nick smiled before he went off. I took out my phone to look at the time when someone stood beside me.

"Back already?" I asked thinking it was Nick.

The person didn't respond so I put my phone away looked up, I quickly recognised the person as Tyler from primary school, the boy who hated my guts and the boy whose guts I hated.
