At precisely 12pm on Saturday, Fletch was stood on her doorstep.
"Morning sunshine!" He bellowed as she opened the door with her usual sarcastic smirk.
"Fletchhhhhh!" A child's voice was carried down the smart hallway behind Jac. He peeked over the woman's shoulder to see Emma running towards them at full speed.
"Emmaaaaaa!" He called back as Jac stepped away from the door, allowing him to come into the house to greet her daughter. Fletch crouched down onto his knees and engulfed the small child into a bear hug and lifted her up.
"Blimey Emma you're getting a big girl now." He laughed as he put her back down on the ground. Jac smiled. Jonny never made this much effort with Emma when he saw her on the odd occasion that he bothered to turn up on so she was glad someone else could give her the attention the girl craved.

"Are you ready to go then Naylor?" He asked.
"I suppose so." She replied and turned to her daughter and kissed her forehead. "Have a good day with Uncle Sacha baby. Be a good girl for him okay?"
"Yes mummy." She replied sweetly. "Have a fun date with Fletch!"
"Cheeky. Who said it was a date?" Fletch laughed as Jac glared.
"Uncle Sacha said it was." She replied indignantly.
"Well I think Mummy will have to have a word with Uncle Sacha later then won't she? Can have him going round telling people that Jac Naylor is going on a date with me can we eh?" He replied with a grin and watched as her face flooded a crimson red with embarrassment.
"It's not a date Fletcher and it never will be. Now let's go." She pushed him out of the front door and down the path.
The surgeon had missed the broken smile on the nurses face as he headed towards the car, his back to her.
