*Above is what shes wearing, since she was in bed*

After a long day, after dad had returned home I was graciously surprised with Aunt Mary coming down, temporarily. She had only returned because of the night of Jughead's party, Archie had called Uncle Fred and told him to not sign the divorce papers. Reggie had gone home later and then dad and I joined over at Archie's house for dinner with the separated family and Jughead.

Now, it was nearly midnight and I was laying in bed alone and not able to sleep. I sighed and stood up, walking over towards the end of my bed and slipping on my tennis shoes before I scaled the side of my house to leave. I looked around as I started to jog down the sidewalk until I made it to Archie's house, where I could see someone jogging away in the distance, wearing shorts and a hoodie. I cocked my eyebrow as I made my way to where Archie's window was and started to climb up the house carefully.

I got up and started to lightly knock on the window, causing Jughead to set up abruptly, looking confused before hurrying over to open the window, helping me in. When I stood up and took in a few breaths, I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly, as he hesitated to hug me back. "Jughead, I'm so sorry for what I said and how I acted on your birthday" I said, though it was a bit muffled by his chest. "I don't want to throw our friendship away" I whispered as he pulled away a bit.

"Annabelle, it's okay, calm down" I shook my head "I was so mean to you" "I don't know what I did but, whatever it is I'm sorry" "I had no reason to be jealous, or angry, I just was" "Jealous? Of who? Betty?" I let out a chuckle as I pulled away, sniffling as a few tears ran down my face, "Of Archie, of Veronica, Betty too. But, you just stopped talking to me and acted like this summer never happened" he gave me a sad look before pulling me into another hug. "I'm sorry I did that, Belle, and I shouldn't have. But don't think I'd ever replace you" I pulled away and looked up at him while he whipped my tears away with a small smile, "You're irreplaceable, and you're my best friend" I smiled as I rested my head back on his chest.

After a moment of silence, and slight swaying, I turned to see Archie's bed empty, "where's my cousin?" I asked, turning back to the boy who sighed, and looked like he thought for a moment, "Something about getting almond milk" he mumbled. I just nodded and sat on the edge of his bed while Jughead sat back on the little blow up mattress. "What are you doing here anyway? This couldn't wait until morning?" I sighed and crossed my arms over my stomach "I couldn't sleep" I mumbled. "And you either came to me or Archie to put you to bed" he finished, and I nodded as he patted my knee.

"I'll be right here, go ahead and sleep there and Archie can figure it out since he ditched me" I let out a small laugh as I kicked my shoes off and laid on the bed, pulling the blankets over me as Jughead laid down, putting his hand up on the mattress, a way of telling me he's still there. I smiled as I let my eyes finally rest.

My hair was lazily curled, and I wore light make up. Tonight, was the homecoming dance, and Moose is letting me go with him since Reggie is gone, he just up and left and told us he'd explain when he got back in a few days, maybe even weeks. As I sat on my bed, putting my heels on I heard my dad walking up the stairs. I stood up and picked up my black sparkly clutch and met my dad outside of my door, as he turned to me with a small smile.

"You look beautiful baby, Moose is here" I smiled as we walked down stairs together, and I noticed Moose looking at some photos on the wall. "You guys have fun at the dance, Bee I'll be home when you get here" dad said, causing Moose to turn to us with a smile. "Love you, don't wait up" I tell him as Moose and I make out way outside and to his car. "You look nice, Annabelle" "Thanks Moose, you clean up nicely" I reply, causing him to smile as he opens the passenger door for me.

Moose and I had safely made it to the dance, and there were plenty of other people here. We stood with some of the other kids, talking and chatting about random things until we heard Mayor McCoy's voice. We all turned our attention to her, as she announced Archie and Veronica on stage to sing. The dance had become fun quickly, and I was dancing around with the rest of the school as they finished up their song, causing everyone to clap and cheer as they exited the stage.

Though when ending, it went to a slow song and I turned to Moose, and without either one of us saying anything he grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the dance floor, and we were close to Kevin and Joaquin. For a moment, Joaquin and I stared at each other, before I broke it up and looked up to the tall football player as my arms wrapped around his neck.

"I don't think you're ready for my crazy moves" I looked up at him with a dumb smile, "You got crazy moves even when slow dancing?" "Doesn't everybody?" I rolled my eyes as I heard Betty's voice. I turned and seen her talking to Kevin and Joaquin, though not able to hear what was said before I turned back to Moose. "Are you doing better in Comp by the way?" I asked, as he chuckled a bit, "Yes, thank you misses Pierce" I rolled my eyes and rested my head in his chest as we swayed back and fourth to the song.

"Annabelle, hey Moose" I turned my head, Moose and I stopped but kept our arms around each other as I seen my uncle rush over, "Yeah?" "I won't be able to take you home, Moose do you mind?" "Not at all" "What's wrong?" I asked confused, furrowing my brows together. "FP, Jughead's dad just got arrested" "For what?" I whispered, as he eyes Moose for a moment, "The murder of Jason Blossom" I looked at Alice as she spoke, my eyes widening a bit as my heart slowly started to beat faster. "Neither of you say anything, we don't know that just yet Alice, but we got to go sweetie" I nodded, not able to speak as the adults ran out of the room, Kevin in tow.

I turned to Moose, dizzy as I swayed a bit. "Wow, hey come on. Let's go outside and get you some air" Moose said, as he started to make a path between people for us to get out of the monstrosity before making our way outside, where I nearly fell down. "Just sit down, and breath Annabelle. It's okay" I sat in a dry spot, leaning against the wall as I took in some deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling.

My best friend's dad was just arrested for a murder, and I knew all about it.
