This one's for ChronicallyFabulous. Enjoy!

Nora:

I woke up to the ring of the doorbell. I waited to see of anyone was going to get it, seeing as everyone else were already up, but had no such luck. The bell rang again and huffed in annoyance before getting out of bed and going down to get the door. I went down to find my family in the living room all engrossed into their phones.

"Don't worry about it, it's not like I was sleeping or anything like that," I sarcastically muttered under my breath.

I opened the door to find out that none other than my best friend, Luke, was the reason I had to get out of my beautiful, comfy bed at 8am an a Saturday.

"Heyy," he greeted, much too happy for my taste.

What can I say? I'm really not a morning person and for someone whom I've practically grown up with, he sure is oblivious to the small things. Boys I tell ya...

"Hello Mr. Hemmings," I replied, my tone ice cold.

"Ouch, only lastname," he faked being offended.

"To what do I owe this lovely visit at this hour on my sleep in day ya ignorant grass?"

That's right, I said grass.

"Well I was just wondering if I could take my wonderful bff out on a date."

I stood there with my mouth open in shock.

"Hello? Anyone there?" Luke asked waving his hand in front of my face a million times.

"Huh?"

"I said, would you like to go out on a date with me miss Nora?"

"Like a date date? But we're just friends?"

"I was hoping this date would maybe change that..."

"You should've started with that ya fool. Of course I'll go out with you!"

"Okay, be ready in ten, I'm taking you out for breakfast."

"Okayyy.. be back in 10, I spoke before running off to get ready, leaving him to invite himself on and close the door behind him.

I quickly threw on some jeans and a nice top after brushing my teeth and doing my hair and what not, before going down to the living room and plopping down onto the couch beside Luke, who was so invested in his phone he didn't even notice I was ready.

"Let's go let's go let's goooo!" I excitedly rushed him. Hey, a girl's gotta eat and this girl doesn't like to be kept waiting on her food.

"Okay okay. Easy on the excitement there, dont wanna run out before we even get there," he chuckled as he ran behind me, trying to get to the car before me, but with no such luck.

Soon enough, we arrived at a near by cafe, where we sat in a cozy corner and ordered our food, making small talk as we waited for the food.

"So, how've you been lately?"

"You litterally saw me not even twenty four hours ago silly."

"Right."

"So, what made you think asking me out on a breakfast date on a Saturday morning was a good idea?"

"It was a risk I was willing to take. Besides, I know that food is the way to your heart."

"Aww you know me so well.." I said getting all cheesy.

"Here's y'alls orders," the waitress spoke kindly in a southern accent before going onto say, " well don't you two look cute together. And you, treat her right ir imma beat your ass," she said with a rather serious scowl at the ends before sending a friendly smile our way and carrying on with the rest of her day.

"Well that's one way to get a grate review for costumer service on Yelp," Luke said, breaking the silence before we both burst out in laughter.

After we ate, we split the bill and he took me home. And yes, we split the bill on the first date. Just go with it. Anyway he took me home and we hung out for a while before he had to go home leaving me in my room to smile like an idiot. Its amazing how even though now we were more than friends nothing really seemed to change between us. We were still the same couple of goofs taking on the world together.

Hopefully that was okay... sorry for the delay :)
