He didn't.

"Five left me.. He time travelled back to the present and left me here!"

You cried like a little girl in which you were.

"Would you stop being so loud? Nothing good will happen if you keep on crying."

Five appeared once again with canned food on his hands.

"I brought you dinner."

You stopped crying. You must've looked like a fool. Five opened the can and handed it over to you.

"I found a water bottle while I was out scavenging."

"Thank you." You said in a low voice.

"I thought you left me." You added.

"I did, it's just my conscience couldn't take it so I came back and scavenged." He replied.

"How long are we gonna be stuck here?"

"To be completely honest, Y/N.. I'm afraid I don't know. Dad was right.. I should've listened to him. Spacial jumps are one thing but time travel is a toss of the dice." Five replied.

"I'm sorry if I yelled at you earlier. Seeing my siblings under the rubble made feel things I didn't want to feel."

"Also, I figured out the year we are in. It's 2019. Dad died a few days ago as it said on the newspaper, heart failure. And as I said, it looks like today is the end of the world and we are the only ones left."

You sat shocked. You weren't quite ready with what you heard.

"How sure are you that were the only ones left?" You asked.

"The Umbrella Academy didn't make it, I'm assuming so did the rest of the world. Whatever happened while I'm gone must've affected the future." Five replied.

"So for now, we have to survive until I figure out how to go back. I must've miscalculated when I was time travelling."

Five saw you staring at nowhere. You were in a state of shock.

He sighed and approached you.

"Hey. Maybe you should go and rest for now. I saw some pillows and blankets over there. No one will harm us anyway."

"So.. the world ended, huh?" You muttered. You thought of your mom and dad. They must've been lonely while you were gone. They must've searched high and low for you..

You were just with your mom and dad this morning, but jumping to the future felt like a long time. You suddenly missed them and the thought of them dying crossed your mind.

You covered yourself with a blanket as your tears fell down.

Even though your mom would sometimes yell at you, the thought of her getting hurt already clenched your heart. She was still your mother.

"Y/N."

You sniffled and wiped your tears. You removed your blanket and saw Five kneeling beside you.

You smiled at him.

"I'll get us back to the present. I promise you that."

He smiled too, a smile of relief.

"Oh, by the way.." You spoke. "Ben might still be alive." You added.

"Yeah, I haven't seen him together with them. I'll go check again." Five said, immediately standing up.

He ran but stop mid-way. "And you."

He smiled once again.

"Go to sleep."
