Kiss or Shove

"Matt, so help me, if you try and throw me in the pool you're sleeping on the couch." I growl, backing away from my boyfriend as he inched towards me.

He blocked my exit, I couldn't run. He was backing me up towards Moose's pool, and if I tried to run, Matt could easily catch me. He was still a few feet away, he could sidestep to me by the time I was next to him.

"Why not? Fire told me the water was warm." Matt coos, taking small steps towards me.

I know what he's doing. Buying time and making me more nervous and mad by the passing seconds.

"Like hell it is, I don't care if it's spring, it's still colder and I know for a fact the pool heaters aren't on." I say.

Matt rolls his eyes and smiles. That little arrogant brat.

Knowing what was inevitably going to happen, it made me glad that I had put my phone and keys, anything of importance on me really, inside. I figured something like this would happen while outside, so I prepared.

I go to take a step backwards, and suddenly I'm falling backwards. I land in the pool with a splash, and I try to right myself so I could get to the surface as soon as possible. I push off of the bottom of the pool, since I had ended up in the deep end, and I glare at Matt. He was laughing at the edge of the pool, doubled over.

Growling, I grab him and pull him into the pool with me, and I duck and laugh as he screams and falls into the water behind me.

I spin to face him, keeping a hand on the ledge behind me, and scowl. I was highly uncomfortable, I was wearing a hoodie and jeans, which didn't feel good when drenched. I know how Kayla felt that one time, now.

Matt comes up, and he looks at me with a glare.

"That was mean." He says, swimming up to the ledge next to me.

"Says the one who just backed me up into the pool." I scoff, rolling my eyes.

He turns to look at me, smiling.

"Right now, I don't know if I want to kiss you or shove you off of a bridge." I sigh as he moves closer to me.

"Can I pick?" He asks.

"Definitely not." I growl.

"Too bad." He laughs, leaning in to kiss me.
