i stared myself down in the mirror above the master bedroom sink.
negative thoughts shrouded my mind. i was having another depressive episode and it took everything i had to not hurt myself.
it started out of nowhere. nothing triggered it, as far as i know.
"babe?" corbyn asks, walking into the bedroom.
"oh, there you are." he says, seeing me on the bathroom.
he comes in, standing behind me. he wraps his arms around me, resting his chin on my head.
"what's up?" he mumbles, kissing the top of my head.
"nothing." i sigh.
we both knew i was lying.
"no, something up." my boyfriend snorts.
"just..." i rub my face with a hand, "i used to recognize myself, it's funny how reflections change."
i see corbyn from from the mirror.
"you're still you." he says reassuringly, tightening his grip on me slightly.
i can't help but smile, leaning back into his embrace.
"i needed that." i whisper.
