Newt's P.O.V
I grab my case and walk out of the meeting room, Tina at my side, looking grim. The whole room looked grim. Tina stops in abruptly in the middle of the dark hall, my feet trip on the green carpet. Tina's eyes start to shift back and forth, her breathing speeding up, and her face turns white as a sheet. She turns to me slightly shaking, scared, she is scared. I brush her hair out of her face and kiss her softly. She leans into my chest, body trembling. I wrap me arms around her, holding her tight. We stay there, Tina seeming to draw energy from me. I let her. A few people walk past, and Tina sighs, and lifts her head, color back into her cheeks. She is still trembling a little but seeming better, steadier. I look at her questioning. Answering the look Tina says, "It's hard for me to send these people into outright battle, when I know some won't make it back. Knowing that you could not make it back." Her whole face creases in worry. I kiss her again saying into her mouth, "Worrying means you suffer twice," she snorts and rolls her eyes. She pulls out of my grip, looking grounded, like she pulled in a pillar of steal into her very soul. Even her eyes darken. Now I am looking into the face of auror Tina, the intensity of it has me look more than once, not in fear but in wonder.
"Surround the area, be swift and silent," Tina commands as soon as our feet hit the concrete. I can't even survey my surroundings, before an arm whisks me toward the left corner of the large steel and glass warehouse. My boots clunk as we start to run, the person basically dragging me, gives me a dirty look. I shoot one right back, aurors. I look around in the early morning light, trying to find Tina. I don't see her but I the auror I'm next to leads me into a series of grounds checks before whistling a two tone note, the all clear. More people start to appear from the shadows, the nooks and crannies. Out of the corner of my eye I see a dark coated, short haired, female. Tina. She doesn't look at me but her eyes snag on something on the edge of the building, and stay there. She raises her hand to get us to stop moving forward, and points a finger, getting us to all look up on the roof. We all seem to take a breath in, and slowly raise our eyes. The sight that greets us, makes a collective gasp rush out of everyone. There are far more then twenty thousand, dark cloaked figures on the roof and behind the building. My eye catches on a patch of silver toward the front of the pack, Grindewald. He seems to take a step forward, he raises his wand. The rest follow. Tina nods, not peeling her eyes away from Grindewald. I am already forming a rudimentary plan, distract Grindewald, get him separated from the group, then find a away to fight him and win. Easy. With one flourish of the hand, the shadowed figures, sun at their backs, start to make the movements of a curse. All of us raise our wands, ready to fire. The spells go off and the same time, a super sonic boom, rocking the earth beneath us. Both spells met half way in the air, blue against green, sparking and fizzing. I see everyone's faces contort into rage and concentration, throwing everything into the curse. A true battle of wills.
Hey guys, this fight will be a few chapters long so we will see very little of anyone other than Newt and Tina. I hope I can write it well. Stay fresh cheese bags, see you guys next chapter.
