Newt's P.O.V

I roll over expecting to find Tina sleeping next to me but I just feel cold made up sheets. That's odd usually I have to drag her out of bed on the weekends. I don't worry though, sometimes when her dreams are nightmares and she can't bear the pain she sneaks out of the room and heads to the basement.  I start to get ready for the day unhurried and lazy, I go into the kitchen to make some tea before starting the day. The sun is just peeking above the horizon so I know no one will be wake for at least a few more hours. I finish my cup of earl grey and place the saucer in the sink but pour the rest of the tea into a mug to bring with me to the basement. Stretching I stroll down the spiral staircase and wave my wand illuminating the mangerie. Wanting to give Tina space, if she is at the Augury nest she wants it, I start to feed the graphorns on the opposite end of the basement. I slow my familiar pace down at the Zouwu , the beast still holding a special spot in my heart after saving us in Paris. I nuzzle her and she flips over on her back for a belly rub. I oblige her clawing her stomach, sice Paris Tina and I decided that she needed a name. Tina came up with her name actually, coming up with it in the middle of the night, Huǒ meaning fire. It suits her and her sassy personality, when I try to leave Huǒ's enclosure she blocks the entrance and tries to lift me off my feet. I give her a firm nudge into her chest and command, "Let me go, I will come back later." She scoots over reluctantly, whining. I give her one last pet and head over to the Augurary nest, hoping to find Tina there.

"Tina, Tina," I call, clomping up the stairs to the outlook. No response. Weird, where is she?  I hurry back upstairs, almost yelling, "Tina, where are you?" I try not to wake the house but I am starting to feel dread low in my gut. I search every unoccupied room in the house, nothing. I head to the kitchen for a quick snack before searching again, and then facing the wrath of waking up Queenie.  I go to reach for an apple out of the fruit bowl but something catches my eye.  I grab the piece of paper sticking out from underneath the silver bowl. I feel the world start to slide out from under me as I read,

Newt,

Picquery needs my help, going to Geneva. Don't follow, she said she will call for you later. Don't worry about me.

Love you to the moon and back,

-Tina

She really didn't trust me enough to tell me before leaving? This sounds extremely important, she should have woken me up. Anger fills up what the dread left empty, my thoughts are churning to fast for me to focus on one. Without thinking, or waiting like Tina tells me too, I sprint the the entryway and grab my grey coat off the coat rack. Still running I shrug on the coat and reach the alley to apparate. I finally stop there and take a moment to think, will Tina ever forgive me if I rush to her side? She really doesn't need me, I'm no auror but what if she gets hurt or worse dies? I shake my head trying to remember my philosophy, worrying means you suffer twice. I start heading back to the house still trying to shake the worry, when a large misty rabbit appears in front of me. President Piquery's voice fills the morning air, "Newt please join us in Switzerland, I can't say more do to the fear of detection but please make haste." Good timing I think to myself, as I turn on my heel and apparate to join Tina.

The next chapter is going to be super long, so be warned. It's going to be one exciting thing to write and it might take longer to publish.  Thank you to all who is reading, love ya! See you guys next chapter!
