Nagini's P.O.V

"Swish and flick," Tina commands as she demonstrates the wrist movement to use the levitating spell. I fumble with my wand, the snakeskin handle slick with sweat from my clammy palms. Credence sitting next to me in the living room, seems to have more luck with getting his movements under control. I squint my eyes in concentration make the movement and try, "Wingardium Leviosa." The feather just rolls over pathetically. Credence has managed to get feather to hover a few inches above the table. Tina praises, "Good job Credence, you are really getting the hang of this." She looks at my feather still on the table and says, "You'll get it Nagini it just takes practice." I jab my wand at the feather in frustration, promptly causing it to catch on fire. I sigh as Tina has to put the fire out and replace the feather, why can't I just get it right? Credence leans over to watch, his feather still in the air. I try again, "Wingardium Leviosa?" Credence's eyes spark with understanding and he explains gently, "Nagini it's Levi-O-sa not Levios-A." I nod and say the spell but stress the different vowels, "Wingardium Levi-O-sa." The feather finally floats up into the air, I squeal with glee. I look at Credence gratefully and give him a high five. Tina comes over inspecting our floating feathers, smiles, and says, "Awesome job, you too. You are a great team. That's all for today, but Newt might help you guys with Credence's case, if you can find him." Credence leaps out of his chair and practically drags me to go find Newt.

"Well Credence, this is going to be some complex magic but if you and Nagini design it, I can do the magic," Newt explains as he motions to the black case sitting on Credence's bed. Credence turns to me and asks, "Do you want to help me design my case?" He wants me to help him design his case, one of the most private things in his life? Eyes sparkling with emotion, I agree meaning every word, "Yes of course, I would be honored." Newt leaves the room with a simple, "Hop to it, there is a lot of work to get done. If you need my help, just holler." He shuts the door with a click. I face Credence again, "You really want me to help you with your case? You trust me that much?" Creedence looking quite hopped-up nods and confirms, "Yes, why wouldn't I? You know almost everything about me." Still touched that he choose me out of everybody, I get up and grab a pad of paper from the night stand, along with two pens. Credence and I sit criss-cross on his bed, pad of paper in between us. I ask, "Where do you want to start? Do you have any ideas, or opinions?" Credence answers me with a basic sketch of what looks like the inside of a cozy cottage. A cottage, for Credence? Credence must have sensed my question and verifies his sketch, "I'm done with harsh darkness, and fake stuffiness. I want my case to be full of cozy furniture and beautiful sunshine, a perfect place to relax, to drive away the ghosts of the night and day." He would know about the darkness, but I understand were he is coming from. From being in the circus, with only small fake light my whole life, I to want to run around in the sun my whole life. I don't ever want the darkness to take over, ever again. Credence and I share the look of orphans and scared people. We both lived through the darkest of the world and we both did not want to see it, not in a million years. We both smile at each other, and Credence ducks his head behind his arms. A moment passes and then we both launch into drawing and arguing over the case. Here sitting on Credence's bed able to talk and be free, my soul fills with happiness and for the first time in awhile I am truly filled with light and sunshine.

Newt's P.O.V

After I left Credence and Nagini alone in the bedroom, I didn't go far staying by the closed door. I tell myself it's because I am making sure they get along but the truth is that I want to nudge them towards each other. They both need a little a little love and light in their lives. It shouldn't take as long as Tina and I's story did. Yes, a nudge is good.
