October 15th

"Did you hear what's going to happen? The whole school is going on a special field trip soon!" a boy was telling someone as he unpacked his books into his locker.

"They are?" they replied. Stella was surprised.

About two months after the first day of school, things have been their 'usual' at Skyfeller Academy High. They all did their morning routine; which consisted of everyone signing in with a special ID permanently onto their backpacks at the entrance, then coming inside and getting to their lockers to get ready for the day's classes. Then, after that, they sit in their regular classrooms in silence (Or it's a one-way ticket to the headmaster...) to wait for the headmaster's announcements for that day. Afterward, just normal classes and walking through hallways, without talking at all.

Boring as crap, Stella thought, Out of all the schools my parents picked they had to pick the one that made the next four years of my life a living hell. Why couldn't I be normal again?

After putting her backpack into the locker, Stella writes on a Post-it "Special School Field trip soon?" and sticks it on the inside of her locker door. Somewhat satisfied, she heads to her next class.

"Hey Dex, are you watching the game tonight?" a guy asks, opening his locker.

"Can't.." he replies simply, sitting on the bench to wait for his friend.

"Why not? Is your new canvas too important to support your best friend, Leonardi da Vinci?" the guy replies sarcastically.

"No....I have something really important. You know how my mom has been lately...she's been getting worse."

"Oh yeah. Well, Tori will be there, so it's no problem." the guy shuts his locker door. Dex grabs his stack of books and starts walking with him.

"You mean Tori Cinneau?" Dex asks. The guy gives Dex a funny look.

"Tori Cinneau from Oakwood Senior High. Who else?"

"Right. Just wondering. There's so many freshman here; who knows which one may also be named Tori." Dex says.

"Good call. Anyway, see you in AP Physics." the guy runs off to into the classroom.

"Will do, Tony," Dex calls. He then walks further into the dim white hallway.

The last class is coming out of one of the rooms he passes by, the uniforms clashing in a blur of colors. Dex takes a glimpse at the crowd, until spotting a familiar face briefly before the uniforms cover the crowd. The crowd is silent, as usual, making it ultimately harder to find such familiarity in a Skyfeller student.

However, after squinting at the crowd for a good long while, Dex finally recognizes someone.

Stella is checking her schedule once again beofre she starts going down the hallway, Dex deciding to catch up to her.

He looks at her, and Stella looks up.

"Hey Dex," she whispers, wary of how the hallways echo.

"Hi Stella," he whispers in reply. He finally remembers they're both going to the same class.

They then both hurry to the next class, trying to escape the headmaster's click, click, click of her high heeled shoes in the eerily silent hallways of Skyfeller.

"Alright everybody! Have a wonderful rest of the day!" Ms. Honey, who turned out to be Stella's teacher for the year, dismisses the class. The whole class rushes out, ready to get out of school as they line up outside the school atrium. Dex, Reyna, and Stella get together despite the incoming students passing through.
