Chapter 40

I stepped out the bathroom Joe was laying in the bed in his boxer briefs on the phone with Donnie.

"J..Joey"

he looks up and smiles,

"Joey my water just broke"

"Well I'll run downstairs and get you another one"

"No Joe my water broke Im in labor"

His eyes lit up and he jumps from the bed running over.

"Are you sure Bella"

"Ive done this three times already, Im sure"

he helped me to walk over and sit down on the bed before grabbing his phone,

"Donnie..Donnie bro Reign is in labor I need you and Jen to get here now we need to get to the hospital"

"Are you serious"

"Yes can you get over here now please"

"Jenny and I will be there in 10 minutes"

Joe threw the phone down rushing over to me, my nerves are insane between the contractions and the pain from them and the anxiety of what is about to happen was all to much and I broke down. I feel the tears sting my eyes and they began to start to fall. Joey began rushing around the room getting dressed and pulling my hospital bag from the closet and grabbing clothes for me. 

"Bella I cant believe this is..."

he looked up to see me on the bed wrapped in the towel tears falling

"Bella, my Bella why are you crying"

"Joey Im scared"

he stopped dead and came over sitting next to me pulling me close,

"My sweet Bella why are you scared"

"its just I dont know if I can do this"

"what do you mean"

"labor being a mother again what if I suck at it"

"suck at it Bella you are the most caring loving mother we have 6 kids and you go to the ends of the earth for."

Suddenly I feel another contraction slam into me I double over grabbing my stomach it felt like a knife to the stomach

"Fuck owww!!!"

"Baby...baby what is it"

" another contraction"

"come on breathe through it come on 1..2..3..4...5"

I squeezed Joes hand as he counted and held on to me as the contraction continued. It took 3 minutes before it fully passed. 

"When was the last contraction?"

"When I got out of the tub"

"So that was about 6 minutes ago"

"So was that it they just happened"

"no they been happening all day"

"why didnt you tell me"

"because I thought they were Braxton Hicks, they started when I was doing Jenny's show"

"Im calling the doctor Jenny and Donnie should be here any minute  and we will get on the road to the hospital."

Within minutes The doctor was called and he told Joe to get to New York -Presbyterian hospital as soon as possible. Joe was helping get dressed when another one slams into me, my legs go weak and Joe holds on to me as he counts through the contraction when Donnie and Jenny walk into the bedroom, Donnie using his key to get in.
