The sun began to set in the distance and the cars were still on the road. Edrice liked driving long distances. She felt like she really got to know the car and could tell all of the viewers a proper opinion about it at the end of the episode. "Everyone still doing all right?". She asked over the radio, it had been silent for a while, but she assumed that Jomana had been explaining things about her BMW to the camera's, the same thing she had done. "Perfectly fine". She replied at first and Charles followed. "Legs are maybe a bit cramped, but next to that all good". She could recognize that. It was maybe good to have a break in a short period of time. "I'm quite hungry actually". Edrice mentioned. "Is there a road restaurant or a gasstation near?". Charles replied. "It better be. My BMW literally just started beeping that the engine is overheated". "That's because you should have chosen a Mercedes, the better brother". Edrice said.
Charles shook his head with a chuckle at the banter of the girls, following them when they stopped the cars on the side of the road, behind the white line. Edrice and Jomana were bowed over the bonnet when he joined them. They quickly took a step back when the smoke came from under the bonnet when it was opened. "Well, that's not good". Jomana stated. "I'll have to call a company or something". Edrice reached inside, but quickly pulled her hand back. "It's boiling hot". She stated, rubbing her hand. "We can wait for it to cool down and she what's going on?". Charles suggested, but Edrice shook her head. "Not clever, we're on the side of an Italian road with three supercars. We'll draw too much attention this way". Charles hummed in agreement. "Let me make the phone call then". He suggested and took his phone from his pocket. "You can speak Italian?". Jomana asked and he nodded.
"Fluent, I'm joining an Italian team, driving an Italian car, I should speak Italian, right?". Charles grinned when he put the phone to his ear, pressing his finger on the other ear to be able to hear the person on the other side of the line over the cars that were driving on this road. Jomana looked over at Edrice when Charles spoke the Italian language and she wiggled her eyebrows. "What?". She hissed to her friend and she laughed. "Smart, cute and speaking two of the most sexy languages in this world, French and Italian. If you don't end up banging on the hood of his Ferrari then I don't know what life is anymore". Edrice gasped at her bold response, her cheeks becoming pink and she gave her a push against her shoulder. "You are the worst". She responded before Charles turned back to them. "A truck will be here in an hour. It's going to take you to the nearest garage where you can fix your car". Jomana nodded thankfully. "Thank you, Charles". She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at the blue BMW.
"You should go, you're losing a lot of time by waiting for me". She told the other two. "What? No. I'm not leaving you alone on the side of the road somewhere in Italy. It's only three more hours, I don't care if that will be four or five in the end". Edrice replied. "Guys, I don't know if the garage is still open when we arrive there. Else we have to wait till tomorrow. Just go, check in somewhere in Rome tonight and I'll reach out to you guys as soon as possible". Jomana secured them it will be alright and Edrice hesitantly drove away. "This feels so weird". She said over the radio. "I can understand the both of you". Charles replied. "But this way we'll be in Rome before midnight". He added and she nodded, even though he couldn't see that. "You're right". Edrice said and moved her hand to the lower part of the steering wheel, sitting a bit more back to relax for the upcoming thee hours of Italian high way.
"Never thought I'd hear you saying that". Charles replied and she laughed. "You're funny, Leclerc". Edrice responded and he grinned. "I know". "Now shut up and drive". Edrice teasingly said and he moved the radio to his lips for a last time. "Roger that, boss". He said and sat back in his seat as well. His eyes were focused on the road and the rear lights of the Maserati.
Rome, a stunning city. Charles had only been there once, but had seen its airport more often than the city itself. Edrice had her blinkers on to the turn the car off the road just in the outer ring of Rome and they briefly got out to stretch their legs. "That was quite a long drive". Charles mentioned while he stretched his arms above his head. Edrice tried to not let her eyes glide down to his stomach that was slightly exposed when his shirt moved upwards with his movements. She hummed in agreement and checked if she had any messages from Jomana, but she hadn't. "I suggest we find a place to eat". Charles said now and she nodded again after throwing away her empty water bottle. "Follow you?". He asked when he looked down at her. "If you can catch up with me". She smiled and he chuckled, knowing she was kidding since they were going into a city with speed limits. Charles followed her onto the road and it soon got more crowded. The Ferrari was quite low, so he had to be careful when the road was bumpy or with the edges of the pavement.
