Charles hadn't slept in since a long time. The summer break was finally here and he had some time to relax and reflect on the first half of the season. Charles folded his hands behind his back while he stared up at the white ceiling, then lifting himself slightly up on his elbows to see the satin white curtains gently blowing back and forth with the summer breeze that came in through the opened doors. The sea was audible in the distance, the sun bright in the sky. Charles turned to his side to look at Edrice, quite some space between them, but it was perfect for him to look at her. Her hair was sprawled out over the pillow, her back turned to him and her arms were folded over her chest. Her naked skin was exposed for him to look at, to trail his eyes over and to touch with his fingertips. Her hips were partly shown, gentle bruises from his hands that had held her so firmly against him the previous nights.
Charles leaned his head on his hand and let his fingertips travel over her spine. She murmurred softly in her sleep, causing him to smile when the goosebumps visibly rose upon her skin. Her eyelids fluttered and she didn't find her boyfriend on the right side of her. Edrice turned around, finding Charles looking at her and she smiled at him. "Mon ange...". Charles hummed, his hand lifting to caress her face. "Can we just stay here forever?". He asked and it made her chuckle while she shuffled closer to him over the duvet. "I'll give it a couple hours before you're posting a countdown to Spa on your instagram". Edrice replied and it made his chest rumble with laughter. "I'm just happy to be here with you, just us". Charles said and moved his hands to caress her bare skin. Edrice softly breathed while she felt his fingertips sliding over her neck, her collarbones and down her sides to her hips.
"You haven't bruised my like this since Austria". Edrice cheekily mentioned and his face grew hot, yet a small grin curled his lips. Charles had been fed up for almost a week when his weekend was destroyed in the last lap of the Austrian Grand Prix, he was annoying as hell, but the sex was great. "I had a different reason then, but then and last night, I loved you just as much, maybe even more". Charles said and she laughed. "I know, babe". Her hands rose to his face, squishing his cheeks gently before kissing him. He groaned as he hated it when she did that and his arm curled around her to pull her into his chest, his nose nuzzling into her neck. Edrice giggled as his scruffed cheeks tickled her skin, soft kisses following. "You're sweaty". She huffed, pushing against his chest while feeling his dampened skin. "Want to shower?". He wiggled his eyebrows and she laughed.
"I'm more interested in a swim". Edrice said and sat up, pushing the sheets away from her body. Charles watched as she stood up, her hair falling down her naked body and she reached into her suitcase to find some bikini bottoms. "Hey". He said. "Do you think it's normal to walk around almost naked like that?". He grinned and he saw the look of mischief in her eyes when her arm was folded over her chest and she looked at him from over her shoulder. "You should bring me something to cover up if you're so desperate about it". Edrice replied and he laughed, following her example by getting out of bed and into his swimming trunks, which laid right within reach anyway. Edrice used the stairs to get into the pool outside, but of course he chose to jump in right away and cause all the water to splash over her. Charles seemed to be pretty content with himself afterwards and turned to her.
"You're not mad at me now, are you?". He asked while pulling her into his chest. "I'm not allowed to be mad while you should be relaxing". Edrice teased, not hesitant to push herself up against him, curling her arms around his neck. "I love you". Charles randomly said, caressing her spine. "I love you". Edrice replied. "Two more weeks in paradise". She sighed. "I'm looking forward to make more memories with you, Edrice". Charles spoke. "It's been a messy first half, but I'm sure we're both improving after the summer. "I'm sure so as well". Edrice smiled, her fingers combing through his jet black hair. "You're a champion, Charles. Maybe not this year. Maybe not next year. But you will be. You've made so many people so proud, people who are with you and people who are in your heart". The corner's of his lips gently twitched upwards. He didn't reply anything, he just let his forehead rest against hers.
His nose rubbed against hers before they kissed, a sweet and loving kiss. "I love you". He told her again, holding her firmly. He didn't want to let go of her ever, knowing from the first moment they met that they were right for each other. And they absolutely were.
A/N: This is the end of Charles & Edrice's love story. I loved this couple and I hope you did so too. For some the end may came too soon, but please keep in mind that I write chapters with a high wordcount to work out everything as perfect as I'm able to. Besides, I didn't feel like writing more chapters without "anything" happening, which in my opinion is okay for a few, but will later on disturb the quality of the story. I hope you understand!
Thanks for all the comments and the votes & the feedback. See ya next time 💗
