When Edrice woke up, the muscled arm around her waist and the warm breath in her hair was gone, the other side of the bed empty. She yawned briefly before checking the time on her phone and swinging her legs over the edge of the bed. On her bare feet, she made her way towards the kitchen and she discovered Charles there. The smell of fresh coffee and a delicious breakfast reached her nostrils and she leaned against the doorway for a moment. "Who said you could barge around my kitchen like that?". Edrice asked and it made him turn around with a grin curling his lips. His upper body was still bare, which she absolutely didn't mind. "I did". Charles replied. "But if you want to send me out and continue breakfast yourself, sure". She chuckled briefly and made her way to the counter to see what he was preparing.
"Breakfast of champions I see". She hummed, her hands sliding over his bare back before leaning her head against his shoulder. "The only breakfast I eat". Charles responded and his arm curled around her waist to push her into him, briefly lifting her from the ground. Her fingers traced his collarbones towards his shoulders while she looked into his much brighter eyes. Charles lifted her chin up to him and he leaned slightly down to kiss her, smiling against her lips afterwards. "You're flying straight to Barcelona today?". Edrice asked when she stepped back to give him space to turn to the eggs he was preparing. "Yeah, I am. Back in the car tomorrow". He replied. "And then Australia in two weeks". She added, leaning her head in her hands as she sat down at the kitchen Island.
"Indeed". Charles hummed with a smile. "I'm looking so much forward to it, it's unreal". He continued. "Are you coming?". He asked, turning back to her. "To Australia?". Edrice asked in disbelieve, a slight scoff tumbling over her lips as she couldn't believe he invited to come with her. It was such an important first weekend for him, he shouldn't invite her, he should be with his family. "If I didn't want you to come with me, I wouldn't ask". Charles shrugged. "Look, I really want to, but it's not like I don't have anything on my schedule. Flying to Australia only would take too much of my time already". Edrice said, tying her hair up in a messy pony tail and wrapping her hands around the mug of tea he had made for her. "I love it that you're inviting me, but it's not a good time, okay?".
Charles nodded as he understood, a bit disappointed by himself that he asked so much from her, as in, asking her so many times if she wanted to come with him to a race track. "So... What's on your schedule? Any exciting things for your YouTube channel?". Charles asked when he turned the stove off and shoved two plates on the table. The plate was damp from the heat of the food and Edrice waited before starting on the toast with the egg and the ham. "Yes, I've send an email out to Nico Rosberg's management to see if we can combine any vlogs. Perhaps we're spending a week in Rome as well during the FE race there, but that's not sure yet. What is sure, is that we're getting to test the most recent Lexus model, so that's going to be fun". Edrice explained and Charles smiled at her.
"I'll see the videos coming up". He replied, looking at her beautiful face. "Our true fan". She chuckled. "Obviously". He grinned. "When are you going to sell merchandise?". He asked and watched how she got off the chair and placed her empty plate in the dishwasher. "You want to promote us more than you already do?". Edrice asked, feeling his arm curling around her when he pulled her between his legs. "I'll do everything for you, mon ange". Charles said and Edrice looked into his crystal eyes, not needing to speak French to know what he called her. Her palms shifted over the wide planes of his chest, a satisfied hum coming from his lips when she did so. "I'm going to need my shirt back". Charles said, teasingly moving his hands under the shirt she wore, feeling her bare skin.
"You can take it". Edrice replied, tracing his jaw with her nails before getting out of his arms, making her way to the bathroom to shower. Charles grinned and followed her a few seconds later. The water was already running and she took some towels out of the cabinet. He looked at her, his lip between his teeth when she rolled the material of the shirt upwards, slowly exposing more of her body and then swinging it over her head, her hair falling back down her shoulders. He was in awe once again, watching her how she took the small shorts down her legs and dropped them in the laundry bin. Charles swallowed hard and got rid of his joggers, leaving them on the ground where he stepped out of them. He pushed the shower curtain aside, joining her in the cubicle while the warm water poured down on them.
